I first thought of birds when I saw your beautiful quilt, I would call it “(Come) Fly With Me”. I can’t wait to see the jelly roll pattern.

Love this quilt. I agree with "Come Fly With Me" as name. I would have made with more block 1 and split block 2 split in half horizontally and added to top and bottom of alternate columns. Same offset effect but less scrappy. Tks for your creativeness.

I love the opening to your tutorials. The upstairs shot as the quilt rolls out to the music in the background It's just relaxing. TFS someone mentioned flock of birds and I agree, maybe Birds in Flight.

i like this quilt a lot. I would do OK with a block in front of me so I don't get things mixed up...which I do frequently. Enjoy your tutorials as always.

Thanks for doing the graph/drawing and suggesting a screen shot; being old school I automatically reached for pen and paper 😂 I have lots of 2.5" precut scraps, including various whites, and so I will definitely give this one a go. Thanks for sharing.

That pattern is very interesting. I think I would take the lowest bar and make it all the same color and then do exactly what you did on the bars going up on either side and then I would name it, Angel wings.

Thanks for sharing your lovely quilt and great tutorial. Ive been making potato chip blocks using 2.5 x 4.5 now I can add some 2.5 x 2.5 squares to change it up. Ive been cutting my scraps into the 2.5 x 4.5 for the potato chip so now I'll start cutting some 6.5".

If you make the right half of Block 2 so that it measures only 6 1/2", the length of the center scrap, (your other pieces will all be 2 1/2" or 4 1/2" in length), you can then make 2 of the half block 2 for the first row to offset the 2nd and 4th columns. The rest of the quilt is block 1, until you come to the last row where you will need 2 of the left half of block 2 (which is the same as 2 of the right half of block 1) to finish it off columns 1 and 3. I am referring to the blocks as presented in the video, not as placed in the quilt itself.
