Hi friends! Some of you noticed the Victorian Embroidery booklet was missing from the description - it was down for a while during the Archive.org debacle, but it seems to be accessible once more. You can use the link in the description or check it out here: 1884 Victorian embroidery guide: archive.org/details/instructionsforp00inga/mode/1up

I used to make a lot of clothes for my toddler daughter. Of course I had tons of scraps. I used them to make a doll size crazy quilt. It is a reminder of the clothes I made her. Now she has a permanent reminder of dresses she wore. I also made a hand embroidered signed and dated applique for the back. She is 42 now and can look back on it with fond memories.

We had a beautiful crazy quilt in my family, and it’s made me obsessed with them since I was a teenager. I was heartbroken to ask about it years later and find out it had been ruined in (finished) basement water damage and my dad had gotten rid of it. I would love to make one and honor my relative’s hard work and artistry. They just light up every part of my brain.

🎉Wow Wow Wow!!! This is incredible, from start to finish a spectacular project. Your embroidery is gorgeous. It was wonderful to see all the pop ups of the Murdock characters wearing those garments, absolutely loved that! 😁 And that glow in the dark thread. Lol. So cool. I love how you finished the quilt to be warm and usable. Your binding method of tying off and burying the threads is lovely. Fabulous tips on construction and using the back of your office chair to hold the quilt in place while doing your embroidery. 🎊🌟 Enjoyed every minute of this video. 😊🐶and a cameo appearance of your fur baby❤. This was wonderful! I remember watching my Mom make a crazy quilt about 50 years ago when I was a teenager. It was all done with repurposed fabric in satins. This brought back many happy memories. I have done similar projects but not with the amazing fabrics you have used. I made my grandchildren a quilt each with their baby clothes. It was the perfect reclamation project because a lot of the fabric was in good condition but stained from baby food and the like so I used the good pieces. A lot of children’s clothes have cute little appliqué pieces on them that I used as decoration. I have photographs of the twins wearing some of the clothes that is now a part of their quilts.
