Scrap yards are where the true environmentalists are, not like the phony crusaders who block traffic, glue themselves to the floors of upscale dealerships or fling tomato sauce at works of art. Thank you for your hard work.

I work at a scrap yard, and if a scrap yard is taking in plastics, then they aren't a scrap yard. Scrap yards only deal with metal materials. You are not aloud to bring plastics to the refinery, and if you do, and get caught, your not aloud back. So, trust me when I say, they aren't burning plastics from a scrap yard.

As a kid, we could always visit our local junk yard to buy an off cut of plate steel for a bracket to mend something, or an old metal post to help hold up the sagging garden fence. Thats aside from spares from certain cars. But that was in the 1950s/60s.

These are real Environment Champions…….all that scrap will be melted down and mixed with other Alloys to make things like cycles fences and Farming Equipment ! The energy saved by recycling old metal is amazing !

I like watching this i am in that scrap yard every day i love watching big al 32 years going in this yard every day and I still love watching the scrap get cut up and watching it put in to blocks and all the different stuff coming in to the yard

Hydraulic cylinder power is 2 things , base surface area and available pressure. The bigger the surface area the lower the pressure required. Any system at 200 bar is classed as medium pressure up to 400 bar which is high pressure . Long reach machines which you see demolishing buildings with nibblers on the end of the arms are 400 bar .
