Hi Nigel, My solution won’t work for your railroad. But I plan to have parallel tracks, only one of which will have any points. The one without points will accommodate wheel standards for both G1MRA and “LGB.” The track with points will be G1MRA. The weathering looks great on both the engine and the tipple cars.

Very nice Nigel. If you are bothered about the "curtsying", a little plastic shim placed in the 'V' of the frog would cure it.

Great tip, thank you. I was at the Kent & East Sussex Railway a few weeks ago and noticed that a set of points in the level crossing at the Bodiam end had a wooden frog. I might try a wooden shim. My only problem is that around half my stock is still LGB and those wheels need the gap.

Liked ur switching layout. Great video angles and focus. 1. What scale is the diesel? 2. What is the track gauge? 3. Is the diesel track powered or battery? 4. The loco and the track switch, r they R/C controlled? 5. Where can i purchase the engine and the tipple cars? 6. Who makes those figures? The driver, the ones on the platform? 7. How did u do the weathering? Weathering kit? Subscribed

OK. I saw ur other video, "Shuffling Wagons 34 - Campaigns, Trains and Planes". So ur models are 1/19th scale mixed w the LGB 1/22.3 electric on Ga 1 (45mm) track and the curves n turnouts r pre-made by LGB. I guess ur rust bucket Diesel is of Accucraft. Well done weathering. The real live steam at the "shuffling Wa..." is by Roundhouse Engineering of 1/19th scale, representing 2' ga prototype but bc. it's on the 45mm, nut 32 mm track ga., it'll represent approx. 2' 4" track? Sarry (sorry), i'm of the exact scale modeler w exactly matching scaled track gauge to the model body scale. Too bad we kant cut n paste the viewer's model photos here in utube. I guess the sponsor (utube) want to save their server network memory space? As the sites get older, the focus gets bad though when the sites were presented new, the video quality was better. If an old video contained human faces, the current site of the same video u kant recognize the faces. I believe utube juust cut the memory amount. Why kant they increase more server's memory chips and increase number of their servers to store our videos? So, i suggest u and any video maker here in utube to re-load it like every 3 or 4 yrs or when u detect the deterioration. I didn't know datto u can have such a number of fun shunting (Switching in the USA) varyAnts w only a simple runaround track! Butto why ur RR's passenger train gets higher priority than the freight train? The former doesn't bring revenue vs. the latter... I dink ur RR accounting dept s/b notified. This yardmaster's action s/b reported!

Yep, a mix of 1:22.5, 1:20 and 1:19. Seems to work fine with everything except people. My line’s gauge is 33.75”/858mm and (in fantasy land) it’s been re-gauged from 1 metre. Yellow diesel is a kit I built, black is a Mamod Boulton, the green one is Roundhouse.

Thank you & thank you for your subscription. 1 - 16mmm 2 - 45mm 3 - No track power 4 - The engine is a Baguley Drewry kit from PDF Models but I’ve made a lot of modifications. 5 - Accucraft do a similar engine. Tipple cars are Binnie kits 6 - Figures. Driver is from Clavey models (Ebay shop but David is a good friend so I tend to purchase directly). The others are a mixture of Clavey, Bachmann and miscellaneous that I’ve picked up at shows. 7 - Weathering. Various methods. Vallejo powders and weathering paints. The tipplers were weathering by sprinkling iron powder onto tacky paint and letting it rust. I battered them using a heat gun and my fingers. If you’re on social media the FeckHallBahn has both Facebook and Instagram pages. I put a fair bit of content there that doesn’t get to KZbin. Freight usually gets priority on the railway but in the passing loops it depends on what gets there first. Live steam has priority over everything else because of boiler management needs. Hope this has helped?

Gaps in rails are FAR to big Being the real reason for the erratic running.

I know, although it’s not gaps in the track, it’s the point frogs. Coarse scale track, fine scale wheels. Common problem when switching from G-Scale to 16mm/SM45. I’m working on a solution that will allow both LGB and fine scale flanges to pass through the frogs.
