I got a nice little score today on a 65in Panasonic TH-p65tv6a I was actually quiet surprised it was a local pick up I do for free within 50km I never done a Nero 3d before I got some pretty good value for what I got for free 😁 about a whopping 16 or so gold tape strips some double sided 2 or 3 high grade but light about 400gm of insulated wire 2 low grades and 2 mid grades plenty of crystals and flat pack ic flat packs an gold prongs was going to just do a medium depopulation keep it at the 40c per K mark min and about 1.4kg back steel cover about 400grm cast iron and about 19kg or so of scrap steel from the internal casing about a few kilo in clean glass and that I noticed I would love to take some pics I couldn't fit it in my car by 1.8cm so I did a rushed depop on his lawn in a clean and safe manner and semi seperated the boards and scrap steel in my boot and tomorrow I'll be rocking up on priority with a bulka bag to put the glass in soci can smash it safely and the plastic protector layer cbut over all it was a good find and I got a pick up for a 42in flat screen and a iPhone 5 2 iPhone 6s Sony Xperia and a galaxy tab a Hawai tablet galaxy note 2 it was a pretty good day

I’m working through a 48” plasma and the glass screen is attached to a really nice big extruded aluminum piece. Is this normal and why don’t you take the glass off and recycle that aluminum?

@@ismiismael "why" because I was new to Scrapping! However I do still occasionally pick up older plasma flat-screens! I just like it now, it's not for the value that's forsure!! This comment was more than 2 years ago!!

I have the PANASONIC TH-42PA50E problem not to light up only the lamp blinks red and there is no tone or image ... a relay is heard when I turn on and starts to open the picture but it disappears very fast ... greetings

Maybe I should've watched this entire video instead of pausing it to type my other comment! Sorry! If you have any extra in site or comments on that, I'd appreciate any input you have. What do you personally do? Depopulate or sell as a whole? And when you do depopulate a board, do you completely depopulate the entire thing...such as in a sand bath? Thanks again!!

Newbie question/request here: Can you please explain which of those are "flat packs". I realize the bigger ones are, but are all of the small ones as well? By small, I mean the ones usually on the bottom of the boards. Thank you in advance for any light you can shed on this for me.

+lost in the tundra what I all flat packs are ic chips with pins 4 sides, it's probably not the technical term for all of them.

Perfect! Thank you for that. Again, I have to say thank you for all of your videos. I have learned more on 2 or 3 of them, than I have learned on all of the videos of other channels combined.

When you start depopulating boards, will it bring the overall board value down? I'm collecting Ewaste for a few years now and this is my ultimate question. This question goes for mid grade and high grade boards, I understand low grade isn't really an issue. Also telecom boards. For example, if I pull off tantalum capacitors, will that bring the overall board value down to mid grade or even low grade? Thanks for the help and keep the videos going!

+zackcat276 removing a few things like tantalums & mlcc's should not lower value but removing chips usually will. boards are usually valued by the ic chips so if you start taking chips off then you may as well depopulate the whole thing, some boards are not worth depopulating, new motherboards don't have a lot for easy gold, best to pick a few things and sell.

+eWaste Ben Ok thanks a lot for the input. like I said, I got into ewaste scrapping a few years ago and this subject has me stumped as to which way is better to get the most money.

+zackcat276 when it comes to newer motherboards I don't take much off them anyway. and when it comes to high grade boards with those gold corner chips, I usually leave them on also because for me they're a bitch to get off... now for example say I have what I think is a mid grade grade board(with no gold corner chips) and I pull off a flat pack or IC chip or two, that's still ok to be called a mid grade?

+zackcat276 thanks and sorry if I'm being a pain in the ass and asking questions that are common knowledge to you haha.. I joined a scrap forum years ago but I've seemed to learn way more here off of your channel and a select few others
