Oh! So many memories. My husband and I scrapped (garbage digging according to one friend) for five years. Had a lot of fun. It was like a treasure hunt every time we went out. It ended when my husband was able to pick up overtime at work again. And then the bottom PLUNGED out of the scrapping market. And then finally arthritis. But we still have several barrels of copper recovery we need to do from tv’s we took apart. Waiting for prices to go back up before we turn all our copper in. Still get the urge to stop homes where there are large amounts of stuff at. Loved it! Amazing what people throw out!

Hi Ben, I'm an old lady and even I enjoy your videos, I watch a bit of every thing so just do your own thing and you will be watched I'm sure . I am from Canada and I love listening to you. You likely get tired of talking before we get tired of listening. Keep on doing your good work you are enjoyed. God Bless. 💕👍👍🤗

Hey Ben, a bit of advice about the plugs. If you fill a pot with plugs and water and heat it up, the plastic softens and pulling the brass and copper gets much easier. Not boiling, you know, just 80-90 degrees C. You recover more copper and brass, it goes a lot faster, and it doesn't beat up your hands so bad. Thubprint did a video on it. Big fan of the channel!

Hi Ben, at 1:38 :00 you remind us to let you know what we think of the video. Whilst I know this is coming on for one year old now I just wanted to let you know I love this video. I NEVER watch videos of such length but when I saw it was one of yours I thought I'd start and just turn it over if I got bored, but that hasn't happened yet. I love how you have a place for everything and keep it all seperate. Part of the fun for me is the organizing. As for the talking, I have no issues with it. You rarely repeat yourself other than to further expand on something already said. I've learnt so much from your videos, especially this. After this video I'll be going in search on your channel for a tour of your yard and the various containers and uses, as well as hopefully a video of what you do with the crystals. Thanks for creating great content. Regards from UK.

One of the cool things I like about scraping is that you almost always have lots of cables witch means if you ever find yourself needing a cable for something, you can just get one from the scrap pile instead of buying a new one. I often use cables that I’ve cut off appliances to power my collection of light fixtures.
