I HATED Switch Inferno for the life of me. Could NEVER make it past in Challenge nor Story mode. Do the switches actually change or is it the same?

Year late response, but Switch Inferno is consistent. Pressing a left wall/right wall switch will highlight every other left wall/right wall switch on the mini-map, so the intended solution is to hit a left wall switch, then a right wall switch, and then on your next attempt press one of the four switches that WEREN'T highlighted. It's very unintuitive but there is an actual solution.

If you have the highest possible unlockable lives (99), then get 100 bananas, then you can have 100, 0 counts as a life.
