Hola from San Antonio, TEXAS , well I’m a scrapper also and I would like to give ya a bit of insight as for loading your metal scrap . If a item that’s a pole or cylinder shaped I’ll stack em upright and if a item can fit inside of another one I do that and I maximize my deck space on my truck and trailer. Especially my trailer with basketball poles and other things like bed frames and shock absorbers and springs like ya have . I’ve been making it a habit that I’ll collect metal in the winter and tear down my appliances and other electrical motors and equipment and save the electrical motors and and wire to tear down and I only take the tin . Now I’m gonna set aside the cast iron and I plan to hit some mechanic shops and see if I can get them to give me their automobile parts . I had a question but I got my answer.. but I'll ask it anyways. I was going to ask why u dont strip the aluminum wire? But since the prices are so low where u are u probably dont strip it because of the weight.. which is ok too. Because who really wants to strip that with a blade.. also James where do u live for the prices of scrap to be that low in price if u dont mind me asking? I know the scrapyard I go to gives one price for any kind of aluminum which sucks. They give us sheet aluminum price which is the lowest price u can get for aluminum. But as always love ur videos and am learning alot from watching. Also that truck of urs is solid and u take great care of it. Seems like the older trucks are made way better than these newer trucks . 👍👍
@scrapitall200Ай бұрын
Yeah when they give me the proper price there isn’t enough difference for me to strip aluminum wire. I live in Washington state. Yes I love these older trucks, they definitely were built to last. Thank you so much my friend. Hope you have a great week.

I got a question for you. I stopped going to my local scrap yard recently because in tbe steel yard i always get punctured tires. Then i have to go fix a tire leak. Any advice on that?
@scrapitall200Ай бұрын
That is always a concern of mine as well. This yard tries their best to sweep up areas and keep things clean and I haven’t had one punctured yet in over 3 years. I know that the slower you drive, that will help to prevent like a nail or screw being tipped up by the tire, slower you go the more likely the screw or nail will lay flat and not puncture the tire. Have you told your yard that they need to clean things up? I bet you’re not the only one whose tires are getting flat 😢. That sucks, sorry to hear that.

They sweep with a magnet Sharp.pointy brass chunks magnet doesn't pickup. They need to pick up charp brass objects manually

Hey, I'm a first time viewer, live in Arkansas, USA! So refreshing, and a real pleasure watching a video from your part of the world, wherever that might be! Being a Scrapper myself, I was impressed by the load you had on your square bodied Chevy!! Mostly, I'm touched by your prayer for a fellow brother that needed a touch from my Heavenly Father! Prayer's for e waste Mike, I don't know his situation, but, God certainly does! I'm looking forward to seeing more content from your channel! Until then, have a very Merry Christmas! Hi James, I'm slowly getting into hobby scrapping myself. Where do you find all of your scrap? Do you buy stuff to break it down or is it just curb finds? Thank you for the video :)
@scrapitall200Ай бұрын
Hello. Oh cool. I made some business cards and started handing them out to friends. I’d get a call to pick up scrap then hand them a card. It’s taken some time but now I’m getting quite a few calls. Dumpster diving and curbside is a great way to get free scrap. I don’t buy scrap but that’s definitely an option if your yard will work with you. Talk to computer repair shops, they’ll sometimes work with you and that way you can get ewaste.
