I think you guys should have a competition where the “points” are parts to build a vehicle for a race Like a game show style gauntlet as the first half and say each point won in the game show, is one part of that person’s choice to make a vehicle out of. The more points you get, the more parts you can use in creating your vehicle to use for a race finale that happens after the game show. 6 bearings, and an engine are a given and everyone gets them free.

my first creation was a pretty bad concealment car. broken by the "optimizations" of the survival update like so many others. the wheels all fold out and lift the whole thing up, and in general looks cool

Ah man, yeah I remember the time when we couldn't save creations, one of my first builds was a super ambitious gigantic transformer with a somewhat realistic walking mechanism and trying to make it look like an actual vehicle/robot. unfortunately, the world got extremely laggy with all the complexity, to a point where it became unplayable and the creation just wasn't there one day when I loaded up the world again. so I was never able to finish it.

I remember in 2018 when Evertech Sandbox [mobile an inferior version of scrap mechanic(That will change)]where there was too,no saving,we don't even have a lift,we have an anti-gravity tv remote(Superior than the lift!)but we do have a way to share our worlds and we have a build battle and the devs are working on multiplayer.

I remember my first car. I had watched alot of scrap befor geting the game so I kinda knew how it worked so my first car was a big brick rv. It had a door it drove. I was so proud of it & it makes me happy to remember that & to see how the game has advanced since then. Im happy to be part of the "OG SCRAP MECHANIC GAMER CLUB" XD So yeah, the toilet was the best thing to have ever been added to the game.
