Surely if ScrapMan travelled outside the chunk though, it and its contents would despawn and then the entities (Bots in this case) would Respawn randomly within the chunk when it was reloaded.... Or does it also have to do with his cage keeping the chunk loaded, i dont play scrap mechanic myself so im curious as to how the load mechanics work, or wether that haybot just had stockholme syndrome 😉

@@oddpoppetesq.3467 I think it's more if they're in their exact chunk more than distance. Which kinda makes sense if you think about how all the Vicks are respawned in their exact positions. Considering every block is it's own individual .... You can remove them one by one but you also have stuff on pistons that change position and off angles and it still puts them back perfectly.

Surely ALL entities inside that chunk are despawned, and any rng entities are spawned back in, well.. Randomly... inside that chunk dependant on that entities spawn rate...... You can use it as a trailer to capture cows or farmers and then you can make a farm with the cows easily without having trouble + it is easy to capture them if your farm de_spawns

Right, time to explain some stuff about Scrap Mechanic’s durability and damage system. In addition to attack damage, attacks also have a randomized “quality level.” Let’s say, for example, that a Totebot hits a block with a quality 3 attack. If that block has a durability of 4 or higher, it is unharmed. If that block has a durability of 3 or lower, it is destroyed. Quality level of an attack is somewhat randomized, but all enemies have a limit to their attack quality. For example: The Haybot has a maximum attack quality of 7. This means that it cannot destroy blocks with a durability of 8 or more. The Farmbot (the big red guy) has a maximum attack quality of 9, meaning only durability 10 is invincible to him. (And actually, durability 10 is truly invincible, because nothing has a max attack quality of 10.) That said, the bots all have low chances of getting high quality attacks. The haybot, for example, has a 60% chance of hitting your walls with a quality 2 attack, but only a 1% chance of hitting you with a quality 7 attack. I hope this was helpful to people who don’t understand Scrap Mechanic’s attack / durability system. PS: Attack quality and attack damage are totally different things.

Some blocks are actually indestructible like concrete 2, I've done multiple tests where I've set up a raid and had my pc on overnight, no blocks actually broke but I had no red bots spawn so I am not sure about if red bots can damage

There is a chance that the heybot is still there because: 1. Maybe he was near you more time then the other bots, and that made him undispawnble 2. You dameged him 3. He was still in the tile that he spawned in 4. Only one bot can be rendered back in each tile 5. He just wants you to enslave him. Maybe he is into that kind of stuff. Also you need to call him Slava (because he is a slave)

I’ve noticed that the bots are out for a few seconds after being ragdolled, so adding a little timer and delay might work too for non-destructive terrorizing the bots ;) Also, surprisingly you used a piston instead of bearings to close the trap shut... and basically “nudge” them inside ;)

I think you partially right on your thought of why the Haybots despawned. I think it is partially distance, but also movement while ragdolled. I've had them get stuck under my controller-bearing vehicle's rear axle, and I watched while they were under there. They just vanished. They didn't slip through the world, as best as I saw.

The durability 6 thing is definitely true (at least at the moment). My farm is built with a wall of concrete level 2 around it and the bots run up to it and don’t know what to do. It’s not even that they can’t break it, they don’t even attack it they just stand there when they encounter it.

According to another comment, hay bots can destroy up to durability 7, but for their attack to be that strong is a 1% chance. The farmbots (big red bots) can destroy up to durability 9, so tier 3 metal (durability 10) is completely invincible.

Here’s something that might be worth a look; The resources which can’t be harvested with a sledgehammer (rocks and big trees, mainly the trees) Are farmbots able to break them, even if they are completely indestructible for the player? If you weld entire sections of the large trees to form a wall (or just a fence) can they destroy it?

I actually had this happen to me yesterday. Was mining some stone and metal and at first a greeny came up to the stones i broke off (the ones that break into 2 pieces and can be broken again into stone- or metalrods) and started hacking at them. They actually broke into the Rods. Like 2 min later i had a Haybot doing the same. But i havent seen them hacking at the huge stones that you need to break with a drill... yet. :)

The claims about blocks with 6 and above durability are immune to small farmbot damage are true. The small bots are programmed to attack and destroy every block except for a listed few, this includes tier 3 metal or any blocks with a durability of 6 and above. I hope this helps Scrapman.

when u drive your exploration vehicle if u have the drills on the wheel it will make a really loud noise so put a bearing on wheel then drill :)
