Hey, Paul!! Prayers for your family. Jesse has grown!! Tough stage of life, being about 16 I guess. I was viewing some of your first videos when he was about 10 or so filming you filming him. Now it looks like he's got other things on his mind. The numbness you're experiencing sounds like a classic case of carpel tunnel syndrome. I've had it on both hands. Simple surgical fix. Go to a hand specialist! The fact you play guitar probably brought the problem on. My problem was wrenches and screwdrivers and keyboards. I can see why you have that sweet dog! Every house full of teenagers needs a dog. Some one will be glad to see you come home! Keep up the Praise & Thanksgiving!

Be careful with that carpel tunnel syndrome surgery; a co-worker of mine went to have it done and her hand never was the same. She had to wear a brace for life!! I have it on my right hand; when I'm in pain I put on cold/hot compresses and Oh! yes, much prayer to Our Father ... the greatest of all physicians there is!!! 🙏 I fell side ways when I tried to retrieve some goodies in a dumpster last year and when I slipped and tried to catch myself, I bruised several ribs...I was lucky I didn't fall because I would have broken my arm! Always use caution as you did with the stick.

Paul your numb hand sounds like a case of neuropathy. I have it in both hands and both legs. Have you been tested for diabetes? That's what started my neuropathy. Plz get checked....better to catch it b4 it gets too bad. I'm taking gabapentin for mine.

Are you checking the dehumidifiers you pick up to see if they are on the recall/get a check for doing certain things per manufacturer's instructions re same as Mr. Scrappity does?

Hi Paul, your hand symptoms would seem to indicate Carpal tunnel syndrome. You MUST see your doctor asap, as the numbness you are feeling can cause muscle weakness in your thumb and hand. Usually physical therapy will give relief, splinting your wrist before going to bed will help and if these conservative measures don't work a simple operation to release the carpal band in your wrist will solve the problem. Don't stress about it, it's very common and mostly affects musicians like yourself, office workers and factory workers. Basically anyone who does repetitive tasks. If you are familiar with the term RSI from the 80-90's then this is just one of these conditions. Hopefully you have been to the doctor by now and are getting it sorted. Best wishes.

The numbness could be a pinched nerve in your shoulders, between the shoulder blades. A relative of mine has an issue when the the muscles get tense and knotted they pinch the nerve and her hands go numb. Only thing that helps is a good massage to relax the muscles and don't do any work that knots up the muscles in that area. sometimes it takes a couple sessions to get them loose.

Hi Paul, we live in Delaware ( yes we o ly have 3 counties) and enjoy your videos. I done a lot of done a little dumpster diving and curb side pickups for personal use. Concerning your hand numbness, it sounds like carpal tunnel syndrome. I had it in both hands. It took 4 weeks recovery between rt & left surgeries several yrs ago and it was successful. Paul carpal tunnel can be in your wrist or your elbow your elbow affects your pinky and your ring finger your wrist affects your thumb and your pointer finger

I know a lot of other scrappers get recall money from dehumidifiers. I have chosen to not do that. Just my personal choice.

Your hand numbness may be due to a neck issue. Try some heat on your neck to loosen things up. It won't fix it, but might make it better for a while until you get to a doc. Some folks have good results with cold compresses which would indicate some swelling. All on your neck. Could also be in your elbow. You will probably need a nerve conduction test, which is weird but not painful. Good luck, hope the problem is simple and that you recover quickly.

Hello Mr. Paul, I hope you don’t have what I have it’s terrible! First it started as a pinched nerve, went to the ER they said only a muscle spasm which I knew better. My doctor finally order a MRI and they found herniated discs of the C6 C7 of the neck. My thumb, index and middle finger of the left hand all have this numb tingling feelings and I have to live with it or be their Guinea pig (surgery). My back has the same issues L4 L5 and my right leg sometimes have this shooting pain down the side of it, sciatic nerve is a part of it too. I prayed over it, taking it day by day. I hope you feel better, thanks for sharing.

Hey Paul good to see you today I'm going to tell you to look up a company Nikken body magnets look them up they're Japanese company I think they'd been official to your hips and your hand problems another thing you can think about for your wrist is maybe a copper bracelet it may or may not help but I think it will and Paul it made me sick to see you throw that milk milk milk drum away but it was damaged badly and my only other thought the scrap yard needs a separate place or except the air conditioning units aside so it's easier for them to find but man another great show thank you so much I hope I don't bug you God bless you you and yours amen

I had a bad day yesterday took our dog who we've had since he was 7 months old he's now 11 and a half years old to the vet the vet said he has heart failure and the lenses in his eyes are getting cloudy. So now he's on meds for his heart failure and the vet couldn't say how long he has. Went out scrapping last night and messed up my right knee pretty bad can't put much weight on it. Carpal tunnel, I just had that surgery in February. This go around , on my left hand I had my tripezium removed and a piece of my tendon to replace the bone removed. Yes old age Paul!!!🙏❤️

By the way my hand was like yours for a while. Was an impinged nerve. I was able to do hand/arm exercises to "Floss" the nerve that goes from the elbow to the hand. It finally went away and has not given me an more trouble. Best of luck!

Sounds like a shoulder impingement Paul. A nerve in your shoulder gets compressed and causes the numbness. I get it in my ring finger and pinkie.

I agree. I know for myself, if I sleep on my side, I get this but if I sleep on my back, it goes away n stops. I constantly have to be aware not to sleep on my sides cause I feel numbness as soon as I do.

I had a similar issue with numbness in my fingers a few years ago, I had an issue with pressure on two discs, one in my neck and one in my back, had to attend an outpatients for about two months where they massaged the discs. After that the numbness went away and I haven't had any issues since. Also, for me it started in one hand and then passed on to my other hand a few weeks after.

JUST AN FYI: Those old Tube TVs have a good bit of Copper in the back of them plus a big long coil of Copper that goes around the Back Side of the Tube.... The bigger the TV the better the Copper....

Hi Paul, praying for your hand recovery. That's no fun when you're a musician... I know that you're not as old as myself, but it will take some getting used to, this thing of age induced injuries and problems. I'm 71 y.o. and it's a process of learning what you can and cannot do. My advice? Keep your sense of humor and a sense of wonder.

Let me know how it worked it fixed mine and I can now play guitar again. I was destroyed when I couldnt feel my forefinger to play guitar but this fixed it. Also dont eat sugar only keto. It works because sugar makes it so bad.

Hey Paul. Sounds like you have carpal tunnel. Pain and numbness is most prominent in the thumb, index and middle finger. I just had surgery on both my hands for it. Best thing I ever did. For the first time in years I have feeling in my finger tips. I can actually pick things up without dropping them 20 times. It will only get worse. Get your hands checked. Scrap on my friend!

More than likely it's an impact injury but just to be safe, ck your BP & get an EKG, if you haven't done so yet. Since it's you L-hand...
