I guess Epic Mickey is a bit like Luigi's Mansion, it was originally going to be a dark and deranged scarefest with kids characters, but then they decided to make it a kiddie game. Damn.

Epic Mickey's still pretty dark. Example: Anyone you don't help in the game can spawn as an enemy inside the Blot as those zombie-things that pop up. I didn't find out until later since I did my best to help most of the characters. I'm a bit of a goody two shoes.

Another notable scrapped Beetleworx came from Epic Mickey 2, in which it looked like Sebastian from The Little Mermaid and that you could actually ride it.

That scrapped Herbie beetleworx got me thinking. Imagine if he was included in the game and was one the bosses. Wouldn't it be awesome if you could defeat him with paint, and he reverts back to his old self, and then Mickey can RIDE him. How awesome and nostalgic would that be. *Sigh* Oh, the possibilities

I'm honestly glad they did not use these for the game, they are just too dark even by Disney's standards. On another note: I think they will inevitably make another Epic Mickey, the games are well liked and the fact they brought back Oswald the Lucky Rabbit gives it great credibility.

That is the problem if disney had all of the dark concepts like oswald becoming the antagonist, have the thinner mickey or scrapper mickey, as well as have a dark ending, and the scrapped beetleworx, as well as making it rated t, then the game will be a much better, epic mickey is a good game, but it made me disappointed for scrapping the dark content.

One thing you forgot to mention was that originally, the beetleworx were originally repair robots that would only attack if provoked

The concept art Lifters that come out of the sea are perhaps the scariest Beetleworx to me. Like something out of War of the Worlds, with the implication they would attack and kidnap any Toons they encounter. And just their sheer size. Imagine a whole fleet of these things storming the beach of a coastal town without warning and abducting the locals....

Scrapped goofy and scrapped donald: this is THRILLER! Thriller time! Narwhal animatronic: I think I saw this thing in Yu-Gi-Oh somewhere. Elephant animatronic: Dumbo as a robot. Country bear robot: five nights at the jamboree. Nightmare before Christmas vacuum: I’M THE Oogie boogie vacuum! Beta rocker: Eliminate, eliminate, ELIMINATE! Two headed milipied: WHAT AM IIIIIIIIII?! Blot like beetlework: Nightmare fuel incarnate! Jumbler and captain hook/Pinocchio beetlework: really badass looking, but sadly to complicated to model and animate. Lifters: I GRAB STUFF!

If they ever did make an Epic Mickey 3, I want to see them explore the idea of turning characters into robots more like they did with Captain Hook. Maybe the three Petes kidnap famous Disney Villains and either turn them inert or have them become mechanical monstrosities that you have to stop in order to save them. As thanks for getting them out of their mechanical prisons, they can assist you purely as an alliance of convenience.

I think Petetronic was going to be a returning boss but was instead a door guy in blot alley because the defeated and redeemed pins are in the pin shop but nothing for the other bosses( for example the clocktower boss)
