SCRAPPED Chevy 3500! Will it run?

Okay folks of the internet, what do you think about this one? Is something like this worth saving? It does run well, we could try and diagnose the problem with the coolant mix, or we could part it out and make a few dollars while helping someone else keep their truck on the road! But, it all depends the time and effort we are willing to put into it. And with winter upon us and daylight at a minimum we don't have a large window of time to work with. So does anyone need parts? Or Could someone use the whole truck? I'll sell it either way! Drop a comment down below and let us know what you think! And as always thanks for watching !
Find The Jump pack used in the video @ www.amazon.com/Clore-Automoti...
And dont forget to check on the other Clore Automotive Brand of products @ cloreautomotive.com/
PS. Our goal of 100k by the end of the year is looking like kinda bleak. KZbin did a clean up of inactive channels recently and we actually lost a few hundred subs and are slowly climbing back up. So I ask, what could we do to help make the channel better? I still try to read and reply to as many comments as possible and incorporate your guys wants into each video! Its always been about audience interaction, and I'd like to keep it that way!

By the time you did that much work to that, you could buy a decent truck, interior is trashed, body is hammered, and it’s 2wd, it’s junk, and I live in New York, yeah it might not have much visible rust, but I bet those cab corners and rockers are near busting through, it’s done, it’s trash, it needs to be sent to graveyard

@@braaapattack2937 Maybe up there it is, but that being a southern truck, the odds of that are way lower. And even if it needed a new motor, a 350 can be found damn near anywhere. You can buy them at most yards for under $200 and set aside a weekend changing it. Boom, work truck. Not much work at all for a solid, cheap truck. You're out of your mind on this one

That's in pretty decent shape for a truck that looks like it's spent pretty much all of its nearly quarter of a century of life as a work truck. That one might well be worth investigating further as double cab pickups seem to make good money out there, even if they're old and tired. It also looks like this one has had a new or rebuilt engine in it not that long ago as it's a whole lot cleaner than the surrounding components and the engine bay itself, not really surprising after 330,000 miles. If the issue isn't as serious as the last owner thought then there could be good money to be made there...

Would make a good beater. Normally the 3500 was a dually. But there were some like this one that were single wheel. Unusual to see one with a 350. Like you said, I was expecting a 454 or diesel. Judging from the "4" on it, I would say it either was a county maintenance truck or maybe belonged to a school district. They always number their trucks that way. No doubt this truck shuttled many a hard worker to their job site. Very cool.

Good truck to replace the engine. Especially since you can find 350 small block engines a dime a dozen at the local parts pulling yard.

Intake gasket I bet money it has not been cold enough bust a block in upstate Sc. It takes lows in the teens and days were high is 32-35 to freeze and bust them from my personal experience.Plus if blocks cracked usually the water exits block onto ground not into oil. But vortecs were bad to crack heads and the infamous intake gaskets that will give you water in the oil.

you could do a couple of different things figure out where the coolant is coming from like you said could be from the intake or the throttle body. Something simple to fix. If it is a cracked block or head. Hell you could just driving around and use it as a yard truck even with chocolate milk in the engine it'll still run under light load probably for a long time. And if it does blow up eventually who cares.. You could then throw a different motor in it or then scrap it. That motor is running awful quiet to have anything seriously wrong with it especially with the miles that are on it that's pretty amazing. Definitely worth putting a little bit of investigation into.

Those vortec 5.0/5.7 engines were so notorious for breaking the plastic intake gaskets.... seen them leak inside the engine and out
@mrchevy7892

It's the lower intake gasket probably, they're know to go out on those vortec engines..
