Ok, the fact that the scene at 11:09 is not in the final cut is literally criminal. Scene like this one is very reminiscent of similar ones in The Lord of the Rings. Gandalf's speech about the time given to us, Sam's speech in Osgiliath and Gandalf's speech about one's Journey. This is like a trademark feature, that immediately tells you this is a Peter Jackson's Middle-Earth movie. And it it's pretty much 95% complete. I really hope this gets added in some other future re-release of the movie.

I still wish we had gotten a visual hint about the infamous “Firefly scene”. Literally every Bagginshield fan would pay good money to see that (myself included) Also, I think the bit at 21:05 is part of the cut scene where Thorin tells Bilbo he can take his fourteenth share, but not a single coin is leaving the mountain (another scene I wish we had gotten to see)

I know I would pay money for that scene! Or maybe even a rehearsal dialogue? Anything. Literally anything. Also I think you might be right about the second one! And people wonder how can we ship Bagginshield, it's all there djdjdjs

I agree, it's a very strong and emotional scene. But at least we have it as deleted scene. It's more than some scenes that we are only told about :/

So many goodies from you! I never watched much of Hobbit behind the scenes and interviews, unlike LotR when I watched everything there was. I suppose I never forgave Hobbit for not living up to the promise of being a worthy LotR prequel, which seemed fairly possible after Unexpected Journey (I love that movie dearly, with all its flaws). So, it's a good opportunity for me to watch these extra materials now :)

I'm very much of the same opinion. I rewatched DoS at the end of April, and well. As much as I do love Hobbit, DoS and BOTFA just aren't very good movies. AUJ has set high expectations for us, and I think it is that movie that has carried out the whole trilogy. But I do love behind the scenes so much because they give so much in-depth information, so much dwarrves and so much background to everything, and movies just lack all of that.

I mean it's not winter yet, but Lake Town actually has a lot of ice swimming in the lake itself so I suppose it's sort of a way to show that it's pretty very cold already, late November etc. But I mean, I also don't know, I can only guess
