I am SO GLAD you used the sticky embossing powder because I didn't want to buy the glue. Also if someone wants to use glitter, like I do, the ULTRA FINE GLITTER would work. Great idea Monica. Now off to make some cards!

Yeah I prefer the sticky embossing powder over the glue. Thx for watching

That is fabulous. I like the way it looks. I may need to get some of that sticky embossing powder. I need to try the flakes with the glue as well.

+shellyanne00 I like it too... I will not be using the glue again. I don't really like it... I'm glad the sticky embossing powder worked well. I want to try the judikins brand and the WOW brand to see which is better lol. Thanks for watching woman. ~ Mon

Hi! I like your video. I have a problem and hope you can help. I do everything you do, but for some reason when I get to doing the gildin g s flakes, they stick (somewhat) and when I burnish it, it's very little. I do everything you do. I used recollections embossing pad, heater, TH sticky. The glitter part works great, but not the building flakes. Everything is no more than a second around me. What am I doing wrong? Thank you.

hmmm, i would suggest pressing the gilding flakes down as soon as u drop them onto the embossed image vs just laying the flakes on top then burnishing afterwards. Thats the only thing I can think of aside from trying a different type of sticky embossing powder. Also what type of heat tool are you using? The tim holtz one or a regular embossing heat tool? That could also be the difference, I find that the tim holtz one is terrible for heat embossing, more for drying vs melting.

I have a faux leather book with embossing already on it and id like to gild those areas. Is there an ink you can paint on rather than stamp on?
@scrappin4myboys2 жыл бұрын
Amazon has various liquid adhesives that u can paint on, i have personally never tried any of them so i do not know which to recommend. try searching for gilding flakes or gilding adhesive and you will find it.

What was the foam pad? I don't think I've even seen one. Great video! I'll be using my glitter now. Need to get gilding flakes!

Its the ranger rub it scrub it pad. Its like a 6x6 block. Its typically used as a stamp cleaner. I cut it up and use it for my gilding flakes. If you use it be sure to not press down hard as it can scratch up your flakes if u use too much pressure. gliding flakes are absolutely fabulous. I use them often.

what about pearl ex powder
@scrappin4myboys5 жыл бұрын
I would say it should work since its a sticky base, but i would still assume u can rub it off as u would on anything else without a binder in the powder. I dont have any pearl ex so I cant try it out. tfw!

It will work, but if you want it to not runoff, spray it with a good quality matte spray fixative.

I tried just putting on, but nothing or very little stays on. I am interviewing heat tool model2500 by Marvy uchida. And using cosmic shimmer gilding flakes. So you think it might be the recollections glue?
@scrappin4myboys7 жыл бұрын
Norma Godsell its possible its the powder you are using. I would try a different brand. Ive only ever used the Ranger Sticky Embossing powder since it worked for me I did not need to try any others. Aside from that Im not sure what else you can try... sorry I cant be more help 😕

Can you tell me where you got the acrylic block with the feet on it?
@scrappin4myboys7 жыл бұрын
That is a Martha Stewart Stamp Block. I bought it at Michael's years ago. I dont believe they carry it anymore. You could search for it online. Fiskars also has a stamp press that is similar just a bit larger. That is still carried at Joanns
