Love your safety first. Nice job in scraping out the airconditioner, and thanks for sharing.

I love the "safety first". Local yard has a new twist. AC parts are now considered "controlled" - meaning only licensed technicians can bring them in to sell. Some sort of crime reduction effort.

Nice work! Funny - I've just finished doing an A/C scrap-out myself! A much bigger sized unit and they are great value! I'll have that video up soon 😊 We get pretty good money for the compressors - around 50c/kg in Australia at the moment.. much better than shred!

Another cool scrap video! Yeah A/C have lots of different metal inside, I feel like what you could get out of them would depend on your time, and the tools that you have available. I remember taking a whole small unit to the scrapyard and only getting like a few bucks for it simply because it was just the unit itself. So like you said if you got the time you could for sure get more value out of it! :)

Hello Shaun,, if that's how you spell your name. Those AC are good value to scrap out, I get a few from time to time from an H-VAC company. They gave me one of their old pumps so I can drain the gas myself, here we use R410a. My yard pays electric motor price for the sealed units if drain the oil. Stay safe and take care.

@Bambamsdad134 жыл бұрын
hey check this out , you can take the copper out of the acr and go from .80 cents a pound here and change it to .19 a pound Aluminum breakage and 1.85 per pound which turns out to be 2.04 per pound . I can clean acr like this in about 5 minutes. just thought I would share what I do.
