It's not easy to find quantity of those my friend... I get my scrap from my work. If something is going to be thrown out I ask the owner or the supervisor of the building if I could have those...dumpster diving is the best way to get free scrap.

do you get more for breaking down the parts than selling as a whole?

If I remember right.... you can get around 100% or more when you open those...

Have you ever tried breaking the welds with a hammer. Just out it weld a little bit off to the side on the vice and give it a good whack. Took a little bit to get use to it but now it only takes 5 swings to get the metal off.

Yes you could call them also transformers.... But the right name is "choke ballast".... You could say that is the same thing like a transformer but it's for other purpose 😁. Thank you for watching and commenting my friend😁
