Living in FL we're use to keeping a rotating stock of essentials as we deal with hurricane, cyclone, threats each year. The panic buying gets so frustrating. But after all these years, I just roll with it. We are certainly living through interesting times. And good ole scrap sessions help us get through it.

That's crazy about the cardboard. Here in VA usa most big recycling centers will pay for it. Loose I believe is $50 per ton and if it's baled it's 100 to $150 per ton.

Here in reading pa USA they give us 3¢ pound for it if we haul it in our self if he pick it up we gotta pay to dispose of it Wich is crazy but they also do a recycling program from aluminum cans and they been paying 90 cent a pound for aluminum cans

Same in Wyoming. We have a pickup at our shop and they pay us $45 per ton for corrugated cardboard.

Ben, keep in mind EV adoption is growing rapidly worldwide which will drive demand for copper. We should see stronger scrap prices next year. Love watching your videos Ben. You’ve taught me a lot! Keep um coming! Thanks 🙏.

Commodities follow a cycle, with outside inputs the root of short term deviations. It's easy to see the trends. The phone that you likely posted with has access to it all. Copper has upside potential for the spring in the short term, and barring supply or demand issues, the long term is agreeable with your prediction and the reasons why. The markets are continually being manipulated. Recall the news about fusion in the last week or so. Would a new technology with the potential to create big energy from a nearly unlimited source affect demand? Who's in charge of distribution? How will they build it out? High priority, or claim hardship to get someone else to pay for it?

Hi, from the power boards I would take relays, too. Free silver for sure and in some cases nice palladium or other precious metals surprises are hidden there.

I do that too. I got addicted to looking for silver and other precious metals. There is a lot out there! Plus I think the silver is way under valued right now. We will see.

you can use a big bowl of water , soak the cartboard and make brickets out of it with a scrap shape press, perfect for winter.

Besides food I have a stock of ammo, always have squirrels and rabbits and other things in season for the stock pot.

Our place started buying cardboard and paper last year. This old guy dropped off a truck load! I guess the yard buys it at 2 cents a pound. Old guy seemed happy with what he got! I wish I asked the old guy what he got paid when I was there. It was super busy so I just kept it moving.

One hundred percent in agreement with your statement about us all being friends. My epiphany was after the night of shock and awe in Baghdad. The next day, the news showed the families leaving town. I realized that we were a lot more alike than we are different. I didn't hate them. I understand that we are being told to, and they are told that we are their enemies. I decided to not believe it, and try to turn my back on hate and it's mother, fear. Cheers, scrappers!

Great show , If you have a farm near you that composts paper and wood chips they would love to get your cardboard . I live in Canada and compost all the cardboard I can get .

Spread the cardboard out over the garden beds you are not using at the moment, and duck into the nearest coffee place - most of them are happy to give away coffee grounds! Cover the cardboard and keep it damp - in no time at all you'll have worms everywhere (which your chooks will love!) - and loads of great worm castings/compost for the benefit of future garden produce! I did quite a few vids about this in my early YT days! 😁😁

if you get either too much paper or cardboard you can put them in a bucket of water and break it down with a drill after a few days using a brickette maker you can create cheap fuel out of it

I live in England we usually do not get hurricanes or many disasters(apart from the government) but I still stockpile you never know what's round the corner

If you remove the tape from cardboard. Then RIP it into smaller bits, you can compost it down quite quickly.

I like that you said you dont eat your chickens... I dont eat them too... They gave me eggs, so when they stop laying eggs I let them live until they die. They already served me good. When they die, they become fertilizer in the garden. But i cant kill them when they stop laying eggs. That is wierd point from scapping video, but i like it :D
