Put a different color little sticker on each transformer for each different light type if uniform. Weed out the double aluminum faster.
@ProjectShopFl Жыл бұрын
It's hard to tell because all the original one usually have been changed many times over the life of the light so over the years the transformers like everything else in the world is made cheeper.

The color of network cables doesn't matter; look for the rating printed on the insulation. The higher the number the faster the data rate. Cat 6 is pretty fast, Cat 5E is probably the lowest you'd want to go.

There can also be differences in the cables regarding shielding, there are non shielded / shielding with one shield around all the "pairs"as one unit,and shielding around each "pair " in the cable. A shielded cabel have metal plated connectors. The text on the cable will also say if its shielded or not The shielded cables is less sensitive for electric disturbance /induction from other data cabels and power cabels. One tip is to be careful with network cable do not kink or bend them hard this will make the cable slower for the data.
@scrapman502 Жыл бұрын
Here's a suggestion for your transformer cracking machine. Try welding on thicker stock maybe made of carbon steel so it would be less likely to bend. Maybe as a temporary fix, you can make adapter plates that slip over the ends of the clamp to make the pinch point a little lower so the transformer doesn't slip off the lip on the bottom when you crack it. You could make multiple plates with different size lips for different transformers.

@ProjectShopFl Жыл бұрын
Yes if it's copper I can triple my money in a very short time.

Search his channel using the word “transformers”, and you’ll see how he can make basically $100-$1000/hr

It's all the same. Companies use a color for computer data, another for security systems etc. The orange however, seems to fit your motif.
@ProjectShopFl Жыл бұрын
Thanks, I kinda liked the orange. lol I kept most of it and scraped some.

Ethernet cable is fine even if wet plastic putting the connectors on is very easy also. Led lighting doesn’t emit as much to mess with Ethernet but some lighting and equipment does. If you run into issues it could be the interference you would need to go with shielded cable. Cat6 though is twisted tighter to help with interference also. The markings on the cable are what matter the coloring is just for preference. Cat5 is just 100mb cat5e 1gig. Cat6 is 1gig. Anything higher your network equipment probably doesn’t support but it will still work at lower speeds such as 1 gig.

Most Computer monitors have a 4" hole pattern. Just make yourself a plate to fit the monitor and then screw the plate to the stand. If the stand is big enough and can handle the weight, it'll work!

I think that first wire run you did, didn’t need to be cut in half. You could just manage it at the infeed in one long spool. Saves all the bending and picking up individual pieces that’s gotta be tough on your back…The 600 amp cable is just too big though.
@ProjectShopFl Жыл бұрын
The only problem with running long paces when stripping by my self is it tangles and is not easy put in a barrel. with 2 people it's not as much of an issue.

The network cabling should have a rating printed on the wire (Cat 5, Cat 5e, Cat 6, etc.). Cat 6 on better is the stuff to keep, but Cat5e will work in a pinch to give gigabit speeds. Any thing from Cat 3 though Cat 5 is basically scrap.
@ProjectShopFl Жыл бұрын

Is there a reason why you only do short junks of wire instead of the whole roll?
@ProjectShopFl3 ай бұрын
Yes it is a pain to sort the longer pieces on the back side they get tangled.
@charlesyates6687 Жыл бұрын
You know those 1" tick sheets of steel they use on road construction ? Think your grain can drag one up on the tráiler? There's the best steel for under your press . Need one of those stainless Rolling tables to put your unstripped on so you don't have to bend over 900 times while stripping

Colored CAT doesn’t mean anything, all that really matters is the cable rating. The different colors are usually used in buildings to represent the different systems. Fire red, security blue, etc.

There really isn't much difference in the cabling color. Only the cable type it's either cat5e or cat6. The only real difference in that is the amount of high-grade metal content such as copper and gold. This allows the cat 6 to carry a higher rate of data. In a home network system this won't matter though because you're only as fast as your slowest connection. It won't matter if you use CAT5 or cat6 cabling for direct connect because both will carry a higher rate than the Internet modem is capable of.
