they are easy to scrap, and sometimes you find some goodies in the bottom

@@Okiescrapper For sure but I can't get rid of shred right now except to take it to the dump for free so I just grab what goodies I can at the dump and leave the rest. I'm hoping to get a big trailer, just for shred, that will make the 1.5 hour trip worth it but right now it costs more in gas than my pickup can haul. I'm also going to talk to my yard and see if they will drop a bin at my place and just pay me the weight minus the hauling.

I got done with an old dryer a few weeks ago. Found 2 dimes and 2 pennies. I'm using the drum as a burn barrel too.

a lot of driers will have little or nothing in them. then you will find one with a bunch of change or jewelry in them

I don't think that I have found one with a copper motor either, unless it was a very old one, the treasure hunt is the best part of dryers. I got 13 cents from the old car that I am cutting up

I have not checked into that, you may want to call your scrap yard and ask what they will give you for say 100 lbs. of them
