In re: to 37:00 Was helping my brother on a residential remodel. His electric concrete saw kept tripping the breaker so we used the gas saw indoors for a while then let it air out, it wasn't bad. But his immigrant workers absolutely refuse to wear masks or hearing protection, even when using the jackhammer in a basement closet. They hate PPE. Every time he leaves a job site they all take off their boots and switch back to sandals - even the one that was born in Canada!

I was gonna say something earlier on but had surgery and forgot about it. If you don't get it all apart in this video. On top of the windings on this big armature the 3 sqare pieces sticking out are fiberglass wedges. If you can drive them out, the windings will loosen up and be a lot easier to get out!

Hi Derek. You said someone was running ng a concrete saw. Is that the same as a chain motor running g a diamond wheel? Could you use that to cut down the middle of the top layer and then delaminate the copper with your pry bars and a ram? I obviously don't know what I am talking about. I am drinking NyQuil to kill a cold. Never mind. You just got it with the jaws. You have the thought process down.
@ProjectShopFlКүн бұрын
Possibly but I think it would be a lot of work.
@morganbradshaw5464Күн бұрын
Hey Derek check out Chicago Pneumatics rivet busters. I believe one of them would pound the copper out of the slots on those electric motors with ease. The Hell Dog model will push one inch rivets out of 3 to four inches of layered connections on an old bridge. Its a heavy bitch but you could rig something up to do it vertically. You would also probably need at least 650 cfm of air to be over effective. It would be a big investment but much faster than your current method.
