If you've been making cards long, you've likely done embossing with an embossing machine and embossing folders. But have you ever embossed like this?! Learn how to emboss without a machine in this video. The only supplies you will need are a foam mat and a stylus or take your pick tool. I'll also share another unique way of embossing using several different hybrid embossing folders. Watch along and try these new ways of embossing!

Was paralysed in 2018. I am in a wheelchair. On my through floor lift I have a poster and it says... Before you start to judge me, step into my shoes and walk the life I'm living and if you get as far as I am, just maybe you will see how strong I really am. God Bless you Anna . I love watching your tutorials and over time you have given me lots of inspiration. Thank you also for your honesty. Xx

Hi Anna! Once I retired, I weaned off all the people that carried negative cooties, the drama queens, the 'it's all about me' spotlight huggers, the users, the takers (many carried multiple issues) and anyone that left me feeling drained after being with them. I don't watch local news - I can live quite happily not hearing about house fires and car accidents. I have filled the void of their leaving with happy people and friends that appreciate me for who I am. Here is my rule of thumb - associate with the people that make you smile and tolerate the others only until they can be replaced. I enjoy your videos and now I have to dig out my brayer! Thanks for the great ideas.

Thank you, Anna, for daring to be vulnerable. I have watched a great number of your videos over the past few years, but did not consider myself to be a loyal fan, and I don’t remember ever leaving a comment. The odd thing is, I cried when I watched your good-bye video, and always hoped you’d be back. Now that you are, I’ve begun to look forward to watching both your techniques, and your insights about life and faith. I personally struggle with positivity, being my own worst critic. THANK YOU for daring to share! You DO make a difference. ❤

ANNA,You DO make a difference. Love your ideas techniques and All you share. I'm always saving so can go back too it.I'm kinda in a funk right now, which I hate. I hate people always being negative. I trying to convince my husband to think POSITIVE..but that is how he has been almost the 52 yrs married. I think I'm going to have my boys and him to write down the positive about themselves. And maybe what they think of each other too. It's a new year. Resolutions I think are a waste of thinking... what can I do.? Take care enjoy all you are doing..

Anna - Thank you for sharing your ongoing journey. Today's message could have come from a younger me. I have never tried suggestions like your affirmation idea. I grew up believing that it was weak to need help of that kind. I am so glad that you will never find yourself at my age (73) with regrets for the happiness I missed because I didn't try to find changes for me. Keep Up The Good Work..... PS: I am going to try your idea for increasing my self esteem through the affirmations.

When I first started with Stampinc Up! we had two kinds of embossing. One was heat embossing and the other was called dry embossing. For dry embossing, we used little brass plates that had shapes cut out of them. We placed our paper over the little brass plate and rubbed with a stylus as you did with your balloon example. To be able to see the hollow area well, we worked on a light box, on a glass coffee table with a lamp underneath, or up against a bright window. Since the little brass plates aren't available anymore, I think you could die cut or punch several pieces of cardstock and glue them together to simulate the little brass plate. One of my favorite things to do was to stamp small images and then dry emboss behind it (from the other side) to raise the surface where the little image appeared. That gave added emphasis to the small image.

Anna, you make a huge difference in my life. I too suffered from low self esteem. I do already have a Stampinup demonstrator, or I would choose you. I luv that you are so encouraging. I will make a list of positive stuff about myself, and I will hang it up, and read it daily. You are so right in that people don’t get enough positive feedback, including me. Thank you so much, for all that you do for others. ❤️Catherine

Your body believes anything that you tell it. If you say bad things about yourself inside your head - your body does what it can to prove you right. Sooo say positive things and exciting things and your body will do its best to make that true. Your body is your best friend.. TELL IT THAT GREAT THINGS ARE HAPPENING AND IT WILL WORK ON THAT. Great video.xx GB

I love your words of encouragement. Being positive is so very important to ourselves and others we are around! I do have a positive tip on the use of this hybrid EF :). If you will apply ink to the embossing folder and also put the die in the folder and run through your stamp and embossing machine all together, you will have the words cut out and embossed and the ink already on the letters. It's pretty cool actually!

Great card ideas, Anna. A group of us were talking about how people can hurt you and sometimes they don't even know how much it affected you. Sometimes for years. Forgiveness and letting go...not always easy, but necessary for your health. Along with that is the positive thoughts spoken aloud. We are all amazing and unique. We see it in others, but not always in ourselves. Love your videos now served with a side of something to think about.

I join you Anna! Yes. You have made a difference in my life. When you shared your testimony in another video, it helped me put things in perspective. Thank you for helping save my marriage. Turns out my husband's blood pressure was super high. No wonder he acted the way he did during the time of my mastectomy! I found a u tube video called positive affirmations for stresss and anxiety. I suffer from severe depression at times and listen to it aty weekly ketamine treatments. It isn't specifically Christian (wish it was) but it's not against any of my beliefs. It is a great way to help us believe what God wants us to about ourselves ❣️ God bless you Anna. I pray you will see a little piece of heaven today ❤️🙏😊

You are spot on about the positivity! I personally believe that Satan puts negative thoughts in our head, either directly, or via other people. My solution is to simply tell him, "Be gone, Satan I am a child of God." This comes from 2 things - The Lord's Prayer (Deliver us from evil) and the fact that Jesus gave his disciples the power to cast out Satan and his demons. On another note, you look happier, and that is delightful to see. Finally, on a stamping note, I doubt I ever use the stylus technique again. That is how I first learned to dry emboss, using a light box, many, many years ago. Too funny to see it again! Thanks for sharing your creativity with everyone!
