What a lovely story, your tips were pretty good too. My husband passed away and later on I joined a group for widows, widowers, divorcees etc. I sat with a group of divorced women and all they did was badmouth their ex's. Another time I got talking to a widower who lost his wife the same year I lost my husband, it turned out that we had worked at the telephone exchange then she left as she got cancer. Maurie and I ended up moving in together and he confessed that he said to another man, :Who's that loud-mouthed Pom over there, she's never shut up all night" We were together for 20 years and were married just before he died. I'm now 84 and live with my son after he moved back from the States after 37 years. When he came on holiday, he always brought loads of craft stuff from Michael's. May you have a long and happy life together, God bless you and your family. Ruth down under.

This is super cute. Please say "traditional" family not "normal." Adoption is a normal family, and lots of traditional families are NOT normal at all. Love your story, thanks for sharing.

Anna, I thoroughly enjoyed your story about how you met Farmer Matt. I can somewhat relate to your story. When my hubby and I were in the dating phase, we had a few major differences of opinion. My mother actually told me I should try to be sweeter to him. I told her (respectfully of course) that I am who I am and either he can accept that or not. I have not ever pretended to be someone different than who I am. And you know what, we have respected our differences and have now been married for 44 years. He's the love of my life. Thanks for sharing your story and God bless. ❤ 🇨🇦 😊

Loved your story about Farmer Matt! I was a city girl... my dad moved us halfway across the country when he retired to "the farm." His little, run-down farm was between 2 small towns, and I told dad that I would NOT spend a whole summer there! A week later, at a local church picnic, I met Farmer Warren... I jumped in whole-heartedly, we raised a family of 9 children, one of whom is raising his own brood as he takes over the farm in our retirement... and, oh, yes, it's now been 53 summers!!! 😂 ❤ 😊

Third thing about babywipes: the prectically NEVER decompose! They will stay in the landfill forever. So much more sustainable (meaning better for the planet and you kids and grandkids!) to use the shammies or even old sheets, tshirts etc cut into rags! I have a stash of these in my craft room together with a spritz bottle of water and one of isopropyl alcohol for all my cleaning needs 😊 Thank you, Anna, for your helpful videos. Kind regards from Germany, Nicola

Hello Anna, Loved hearing your story and so very happy for you both. I thought you left SU but I seeing you are promoting it again. I love how God puts us where we need to be when we have faith in him. I will try and make my story short. Back in 1976, I had been separated for 4 years, going through a divorce, was never going to marry again because I hated men and women due to my husband and best girlfriend were having an affair and of course I was the last to know. I got a job in a bar (never worked before) and one night the door opened, all I saw was a white aurora in the doorway and out of my mouth I said, “I’m going to marry that guy”. I was working with a girl named Miriam and asked what I said and I repeated it, not knowing who was even coming through the door due to everything being white. She hit me with her fist in my arm and said, “do you know what you just said?” I replied,”I know what I said, but I don’t even know that guy”. By now, I could see it was a guy with a girl on each arm, all busted up in a suit and he was trying to make another bartender at the other end of the bar jealous because he liked her. As it turned out, I did didn’t think to much of it and never gave it another thought. Eventually (about 6 months later) 12:54 we started dating only because I asked him out due to a patron I was serving kept insisting he was taking me out after work and I kept saying no. At closing time, I knew my mystery man was drinking Scotch on the rocks, so I took a drink to him and asked if he could help me out by going out with me when I got off work and told him about the guy at the end of the bar who was insisting he was taking me out when I got off. He said yes, so we started dating. A year later we got married and have been happily married for 47 1/2 years. I have always said, God sent him to me because he knew I needed him in my life. I wish you and Farmer Matt a very long, happy Blessed life together.

Hubby & I met kinds the same way. On website that was kinda a dating site. He was on my best friends friend list and she told me to check him out. I did and seen a video of a love ballad of a band I liked. Thought that was strange for a guy to have. Took me 3 tries to get him to talk to me. But we ended up getting married to the song that got us together.
