Christine, you always have the BEST videos from this event. Up close and in front of Tim!! I hope you're enjoying the show and thank you for sharing your lovely videos. Always the best quality, the best perspective....shall I keep gushing?? :-) I don't much use alcohol inks but the alloy is a game changer for me. Not that I need ANY MORE crafts, but I may be buying me some alcohol inks now.

I just bought the alloys and I love them all!! But the mined will NOT break up no matter how I shake, lay it on its side before shaking…and it’s a mess but the rest are beautiful…I feel semi jipped as these are very pricy after getting many colors just to start off with …wish I could swap that one out for a new ! Love these inks though, I can’t wait to start making bigger pieces

So I just tried alcohol inks for the first time today and I absolutely love them, well done Tim, they are now one of my favorite mediums 😁 Will definitely be getting more colors!

Thanks for demo. Did you LOOSEN the caps before hand??!! It appeared that you simply twisted the caps off. I find it extremely difficult to remove the caps. Push and twidt, ad nauseum.Pure luck when I get the csp off. Spend minutes doing this. Could you PLEASE provide a video that shows you how to do this? OTHERWISE I'm switching brands.

The Alloys have just been released this week by Ranger. You should now start seeing them online. Not sure if large craft stores will have them, but smaller stores usually buy Ranger products.

I bought the alcohol storage container and when taking my inks out to use 6 or 7 of them had leaked into the box and wee dried and stuck to the plastic ring holder! I did store them on their side as I thought they could be stored in any direction. Is this what caused this or is something else the problem ie heat etc
@ScrapTimeVideos3 жыл бұрын
My guess is they leaked because you stored them on their side. I have had my alcohol inks for probably 13 years and never had them leak.

GOOD MORNING QUESTION ARE WE STILL USING GLOSSY PAPER FOR THE ALCOHOL INKS...
@ScrapTimeVideos4 жыл бұрын
You can still use Glossy Paper - however, Yupo allows you to try more techniques since the inks sit on the surface and don't get absorbed.
@grasshopper8144 жыл бұрын
@@ScrapTimeVideos yupo ??? so and heavy weight card stock will do...
@ScrapTimeVideos4 жыл бұрын
No - it has to have a glossy type surface or else the inks will be absorbed. I just meant glossy vs Yupo.

can you use alcohol ink on photo paper
@ScrapTimeVideos4 жыл бұрын
You can but it isn't recommended. I think it is because of the emulsions on the paper. Right now the best choice is Yupo.
@rdecook6514 жыл бұрын
@@ScrapTimeVideos ... thank you.
@Rhea4444 жыл бұрын
Photo papers will react just like Yupo if you use the MATTE side, not the shiny side.
