I love 💕 this amazing Technique & I especially love 💗 the fact that Tim gave a shout out to Jennifer Mcguire! I believe she was one of the first people who shared this wonderful technique on KZbin. I follow Jennifer & Tim faithfully on most Social Media Apps. I have learned so much from both of them and you as well. Please keep up your wonderful KZbin Tutorials, tips, tricks and creativation product previews coming on your marvelous Channel. Each one that I have watched has taught me so much. I am just now beginning my first Art Journal & my journey into Mixed Media. I still have so much to learn even though I have been Paper Crafting off & on for years. I truly appreciate all that you do for us. Thank you 😊.

Protractors are used in maths, to measure angles. Doesn't anyone learn geometry in school anymore?
@mrslisalytle83864 жыл бұрын
Some do not take any type of math that you physucally need to figure out an angle. That component now happens in architectural math or planning.
@floradiamonds4 жыл бұрын
@@mrslisalytle8386 how odd! Well, to me, anyway! Times change, as do teaching methods. I'm not great at maths but did enjoy that side of it, it felt more like a drawing class, so a bit of a skive.

It's too bad Tim didnt give credit to Stacey (SMS) when he copied her "slip-proof" mat and didnt give her ANY credit for the idea. I banned all TH products when I realized this. (Then the Misti incident happened, and I was convinced I made the right decision.)

Hi. What was the Misti thing about? I hope you don't mind me asking. Thanks.
@cookiepadilla78835 жыл бұрын
@@floradiamonds he "copied" their design and created his own stamp press. He was sued for copyright infringement and lost; which is why his stamp press can no longer be sold in the US once the stock runs out.
@floradiamonds5 жыл бұрын
@@cookiepadilla7883 thank you. I had no idea! I wouldn't have bought mine (I'm English) if I had known it was on the back of someone else's design. I have to admit, although I do like the Distress inks, although I think they're grossly overpriced, I don't like him. I've seen various KZbin videos where he's demonstrating, and he gives me the creeps! I'm sorry if that upsets his fans, but can't help what the hairs on the back of my neck do...! Thanks again.
@TheOddWhimsy4 жыл бұрын
Cookie Padilla Actually he didn’t lose. He won the suit, but decided to be the bigger person and pull the product. The courts found he did not infringe the patent. He product was far superior, more cost effective, and more importantly he didn’t raise the price when he “thought” he won unlike the creator of the Misti.
@floradiamonds4 жыл бұрын
@@TheOddWhimsy thank you too, for replying to my question, I appreciate both points of view - and the courteous way in which you each replied, even from opposite sides of the debate. If only our politicians, on either side of the pond, were so polite! I bought my Holtz platform because it was on special offer, £23 for the bigger size; I don't know what that is is $US, but the Misti was more than £70 at that time. In hindsight, the smaller platform would have been enough, but there you go. My only real gripe, I think, is the amount of product placement in the video demos - Misti is mentioned so often that it distracts me from whatever else is going on, although the Tim version isn't pointed out as much. It's the same with the inks and markers, too. I have Promarkers, couldn't ever afford Copics, and the quantity of mentions has me doubting the quality of my own stuff, which is a shame, as colouring is one of the few things that relaxes me any more! I suppose it's to do with sponsorship. Is it? I just think that one mention at the start of the demo, a "recipe", if you will, is enough. But again, like all of my waffle on the subject, these are my opinions. I never mind if people disagree, especially when they're as polite as you both have been. Thanks again.
