I tried to strip the insulation off vacuum cord, too thin & there is a nylon wrapping which takes extra effort to unravel. Best to clip off the plug and weigh as insulated.

I used to save. All my plugs off electronics and then when I have a bunch I take some time and put them in the vise and pull the metal prongs out with a pair of pliers. I would end up with a pound or 2 of brass. Just thought I'd let you know.

Went out this morning and found 50lbs of clean extrusion. .70$ a pound walked away with $35.00 and why does this video 📸📷 seem like a rerun.
