Also, I created different types of costumes for the chicken. You press space then it changed it to different types of skins. I created a plain skin, then i copied and pasted 3 more. 2nd with bow, 3rd with bowtie, 4th with hat. It was really cool, so I thought I made a pretty cool additional part. the scripts I used were, "When Space Key Pressed" in the events scripts, and the "next costume" script in the looks. This happened to me 2. Did you use the "start as clone" header like he did 9:42, since scratch can't run two sets of code that both have "click the green flag" on them? If you try to select one of the two columns of code, only one selected for me; that's when I realized the header needed to be switched.

Hey, I had some trouble, because I find it easier to press the space bar instead of clicking so for those who need some help, you should go to sensing and look for the "key space pressed" blcok and place it instead of the "mouse down" block. Hope this was useful. :D

Hi, I'm trying to implement a number of sprite "prizes" in my Flappy Bird-style game, which should stop reappearing as clones when they are touched by the "bird". Is there any help out there. I have a blind client whom I teach to code using Java. Beside this, she had enrolled for a university computer science course. They have given her coursework, creating a program using Scratch. I have tried to import Javascript ( which she can do ) into Scratch. This can work. Do any of you have a better idea, how can I help a blind person to create a Scratch project. Please , this is a real question. I had the same problem, I believe its something to do with a scratch update. Simple fix (not the best) is to make cloud sprites that cover the pipes when they get to the edge. All you have to do is get the bird and add a 'when green flag is clicked' and under it add 'go to front layer'. Again its not the best solution; I just haven't found an alternative yet.

You could also save a picture of the flappy bird with a clear background then upload it in Scratch. For me I use the upload.
