Now that's a great idea Mark. I didn't even think of that. Now you gonna have me stealing stirsticks from coffee shops! Lol!🤣

Very good idea Benny! I think I will use this idea for that extra detail on a few structures, looking forward to seeing the layout!

Thanks Tony! Ya keep your eyes open when your out and about. You'll be able to find even smaller straws that would be great for N Scale. Especially those skinny ones you find in restaurants.

Nice tips. Thanks Ben; especially the gondola loads. Wanted to use straws for ditch culverts under driveway but to large. Maybe the round stir sticks if I can find some. Anthony

Yes for sure Anthony, just look around when your out and about. Even restaurants have really skinny straws I've seen before.

Great tip Benny! Straws are a very versatile modeling material. I've used the larger milkshake straws for small buckets and even a cooler full of beer / soda. The bendy part of smaller straws makes a convincing trash basket. Best, John

@@CreativeRails I do have some video - part of a diorama build. I'll have to dig through a bunch of footage, or maybe just shoot something new (probably take less time).

Nice video - another idea is to use the flexible part as a culvert - looks like what I know as elephant trunk pipe. What ever you use them for - hurry up and gather them as they are being banned many places!!! Some have switched to paper ones - if you're old enough - you'll remember that straws were made of paper before they were plastic!!!
@CreativeRails

That's to funny I said culvert in the video, but I was always wondering how to do the rippled culvert. You just answered it! And the answer was in my hand lol🤣 that's what I love about this, helping each other out and adding ideas to each other. Thanks for the great tip! -Ben
