These look amazing - I pretty much knew I wasn't going to build them when you dropped the number of branches required - I will however be building a single unit version of this with the techniques you showed. The plastic branches add so much detail - and as it turns out I have a boat ton of those in my parts bin.

That's perfect! I ran out of them making this build... Hoping my local dollar store restocks soon

Hey I am really enjoying your videos. I like how thoroughly you explain things. If I may make a small suggestion, maybe you could turn the background music down to about half. I can hear what you are saying, but I find that I often get distracted by the volume of the music. Maybe it is because I am not a teenager anymore, or maybe because I am at times watching after a long day at work and I am more tired and more easily distracted. IDK. Anyways it is just a suggestion, because I don't want to miss anything you say because you seem quite intelligent and I have learned a lot from you already. Thanks for posting such informative content.

This is amazing and I will vote your trees the best I've seen. I want to do this. I'd recommend using one of the different flavors of JB Weld for the metal to metal parts of this versus "HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOT GLUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUE" for everything. Another thing would be nice if you put some links to where to get some of the things like which magnets you used, where to get that wire... etc.

Also never saw that foilage in any dollar store around Michigan area. Bummer.

I used to put affiliate links, but amazon revoked my partnership because nobody was clicking them xD The magnets are from amazon, but their suppliers change so frequently there that any link I put would be irrelevant within a few weeks. I say the size of the magnets in the video, i would recco just searching those specs on amazon. I've never used JB weld, might have to look into it...

@@tantrumus7186 I have had a hard time finding more of it since the pandemic started, ive had the stuff for years. I think supply chain issues may have impacted availability of this kind of thing.

@@HallofCraftVids JB Weld is great for metal on metal...you can find in adhesives isle at big box home centers like Home Depot or more commonly at auto parts stores. I picked up some heavy bolts and large washers for bases of the trees and I just got done with some electrical in my house and saved all the scraps....crazy to use copper with prices how they are but will sculpt nicely....

Could you have doubled the magnet to allow for extra tall trees? Instead of supporting the magnet with hot glue, add a second magnet.
@HallofCraftVids2 жыл бұрын
I never thought of that!
