Dieter is looking for a Moki 150 cc or 180 cc. To make sure that a reliable engine is used for the first flight, Dieter decided on the DLE 111 from his EXTRA. Therefore a 3-blade propeller was used. A 2-blade scale propeller will be used with a radial engine.

My god if I spent 5 years on something like this I could never actually fly it. Hell, my 300 dollar hobbyzone plane is enough of an investment as it is.

Many people say that modelers who can scratch build a plane can't fly. Dieter shows the opposite. 😉 It's not about the cost of having fun with your RC airplane. I also have low budget models and it's great to fly them.

A guy who everyone called The Rock used to deliver the New Bedford Standard-Times to Nantucket and Martha’s Vineyard islands off Cape Cod back in the 1960s. That model brought back memories of my youth. My dad had a Navion. The 195 was a pretty bird.

This is Gorgeous Horst! I'm a bit partial to the polished versions of this AC. But even in RC this is one beautiful bird. Now all Mr. Deyerler needs is a Howard or a Stinson Reliant to fly with his 195. Nice, enjoyable flight also. Thanks for the vid Horst!
@RCScaleAirplanes3 жыл бұрын
Hi Bob. Sorry, but what do you mean by polished version?
@ChrisB2573 жыл бұрын
A really beautiful build. How well I remember maiden flights - trying to get the trims right and then be able to enjoy hands-off flying... always felt the need for courage, particularly that first take off. An intact landing then was icing on the cake. :) Nice turn of speed - could be a bit of extra expo might have helped the odd bit of twitchiness. Great first flight though and the landing go-around was probably a wise decision -- 2nd time, small bounce but safe - phew. He must be very proud of his plane.
@RCScaleAirplanes3 жыл бұрын
Hi Chris. Thank you very much for your great comment. The first "landing" was an failed touch and go. 🙈 All trimmings and expo has been done after the maiden. Dieter did another 4 flights and the performance became better every time. In order to don't fool my followers, I uploaded the "real" maiden only. Stay safe. Cheers, Horst
