Mental Toughness and Success Coach Chris Dorris ‪@thementaltoughnesscoach‬ wrote an awesome book called “The Book of Mental Toughness Mantras.” and he commissioned me to give some of the chapters my “Scratch Wisdom” treatment, where I scratch up the words over instrumental beats.
Together, we created a series, and I present to you another installment for your viewing pleasure.

I choose peace amidst chaos.
This reMINDer helps us remember that all of our emotional states are a choice.
We choose our states with our thinking.
We have access to every state, in every moment, of every day of our lives.
Isn’t that amazing?
It is IF we can remember AND exercise that choice.
Thus, the word “choose” is the operative word in this mantra. I CHOOSE peace.
You could replace the word peace with any other state and it’s equally powerful.
I choose enthusiasm
I choose, compassion.
I choose gratitude.
I choose peace amidst chaos.
Isn’t it amazing that the option of peace even exists amidst chaos?
It’s very liberating to remember that you have that option available to you at all times.
And it’s even more liberating to choose it.
Think of some of the more chaotic situations that regularly occur in your life.
Preemptively visualize yourself choosing peace in the midst of those circumstances.
