It's white scratchboard. You ink on it and then scrape off the highlights.

I ordered some white scraperboard, cant wait to try it out. i'm not using radiograph pens as they are too pricey but will be using Isomars technical drawing pens, they seem to be pretty similar just a students version. I will post my work here bubblypies.deviantart.com/ when I have some pictures ready to show.

Yeah, I use Copic ones. About half the price, but just as killer. I'll check out the ones you're using too. Rapidographs are a nightmare for maintenance so using alternative brands are better for that alone.
