Agreed ! Most people are to busy trying to be horror buffs, and discredit great movies just to include “great old classics, in their list. If scram isn’t in your top 5-10 horror movies, do you even know about horror ? Lol

What I think is so brilliant about the first Scream is how they make Billy so obviously the killer that you think "nah they are making it too obvious". But when he is revealed you are not angry about this because you have the twist with Stu who you, the whole movie assume is just the stock annoying popular jerk to be killed in a slasher. Its one of the fun parts of Scream rewatches is how obvious it is that Stu is hiding in plain sight because you are just so focused on Billy.

Scream was my first R rated scary movie as well. I saw it at a birthday party when it was first released at blockbuster ( I was 12). I then had to walk home by myself in the dark, and I was absolutely terrified. This movie freaked me out for years because it was very realistic.

Two things about Stu..Stu always cleaned the blade after he stabs people as well.. It's been a while but I'm pretty sure when he takes the blade out of Deputy Dewy boy's back he cleans it too. Oh! And apparently there's talk of Stu coming back to the Scream franchise, In an interview Matthew Lilliard said "maybe the TV didn't kill Stu"

As a kid "Nightmare on Elm St.: Dream Warriors" was my favorite Scary movie!! In the scene when Randy saying "behind you", and the Ghostface is directly behind him, is the only scene where Matthew Lillard and Skeet Ulrich are wearing the costume! They had to shoot this scene a couple of times, so both of them asked Wes Craven if they could do the scene. Funny because nobody can say who is under the costume in this scene anyway!

I think Billy killed Tatum given his head nod to Stu at the door. Plus we have no idea what Billy had been up to prior to the party. He had plenty of time between taking out the principal when school let out and the party that night
