Scream 7 Tie Into Scream 6?

Scream 7 will be bringing back Sidney Prescott and moving off the core 4 from the previous 2 movies. Scream 5 and Scream 6 could potentially have tie ins to the upcoming Scream Movie but should they do that at all? Is Scream 7 better off just ignoring the previous 2 movies?

I think Scream 7 will be it's own thing while still being a sequel to Scream 6. I think Scream 7 will be more connected to Scream 5 with the family aspect more than anything of course.

Yeah, I don’t think Sidney was close enough to the new 4 to necessarily HAVE to have something about them. Gale, though, is a different story.

Scream has always had connections to other films in each sequels no matter how big or small. And we all love that So I’m happy they do acknowledge Sam & Tara’s absence And no matter what happens with Meeks twins would be great to have a reference too. Let’s hope Kirby makes an appearance in 7 🎉🎉

Scream 7 will also be a continuation to the first 4 films as well.

Scream 7 definitely not tying into Scream 6 and nobody want to see a add on to the Kirsch family Sidney will be in a new story that involves around her but I'm pretty sure Sam and maybe the Kirsch family will be mentioned in 7 and maybe Sidney would explain why she didn't show up in 6.

it should start with Sidney dreaming about ghost face and that is the opening. Gail is at sids place and healing when Sid hires a nanny who is acting weird around Gail. sidney is going to work, mark is busy with a case.

The only way i could see this tying in to scream 6 is if they set it at around the same time as the events in 6, you know, 2 killing sprees occurring simultaneously in different locations . That would be something new and fresh for the franchise. I think if done right, alot of fans will be happy with this concept because it excuses the absence of the core four and everyone involved in 6. The only way Gale's return would make sense is if she has a minor role or cameo of some sort in this film and we just see her having that phone call with Sid or if she appears on the news reporting the attacks in new york and thats when we could see ghostface call sid letting her know she and her family aren't safe either. I'm starting to lean towards this idea and i hope they go with it but we'll just have to see. @FateDecided if you can discuss this theory in a different video I would like to hear your and everyone else's thoughts on this because it does have some logic to it.

The only real problem I have with that (Gale being absent) is if this really IS Sidney’s last movie, it would suck to have that be the last interaction with Gale. They already made it sad with Sidney and Dewey’s last interaction being a phone call.

@@nolaray1062 i understand that. But if everything goes good and the movie is received well by the audience, then scream 8 could bring back the core four and sid and everyone else together. The good thing about scream is that the killers is always someone different each time. If a killer in this movie survives and goes into hiding or gets caught then there is a chance that all surviving main characters can come back. I doubt theyll ever kill off sidney so there is that hope that she can always keep coming back. Neve has even mentioned before that as long as she is alive she is open to returning for future sequels
