I work in film and TV. And no, most movies have about 150 to 200 scenes. 70B means there is a scene 70 but due to rewrites they had to add other scenes between scenes 70 and 71. To not mess up the numbering continuity, letters are added. So the order goes 70, 70A, 70B, ..., 71. They don't have to be related scenes. It's just a way to make sure scene 70 stays as number 70 and scene 71 stays as 71. Changing scene numbers after rewrites means you have to change the numbers everywhere else like on schedules, breakdowns, memos and more. Nobody wants that. The way scenes are counted on a script is not the way some people think a scene is when watching a movie. For example, some people might see the opening scene of Scream 6 (just the Samara Weaving bit until she is killed) as one big opening scene. But in a script that's about 3 to 6 scenes depending on how it's written. Scenes normally go by individual location. If I'm in a house, in my bedroom that's a scene, if I then go to the kitchen that's another scene. Regarding the place where it is, it could be a set but it could also very well be the studio's canteen.

It's been a looong time coming 😅. Super ecstatically stoked 😆!!! Just the idea 💡 of a 🆕 Scream film is astonishing to me, never in a million years did I ever imagine a film I saw and loved as a 9 year old kid would become a franchise and be filming it's 7th entry 😊. This is the second Wes Craven franchise to have over 6 entries. A nightmare on elm Street is just as nostalgic for me as well. As a kid, you never want the things you love to 🔚 and my childhood continues to expand, evolve and live on.
