My ranking; 1) Scream (1996) 2) Scream 3- The third act is full of action and the fight scene between Roman and Sidney was so good. 3) Scream VI 4) Scream (2022)- Amber's reveal was the best and I really like the scene between Amber VS Sidney and Gale but the rest of the third act was lukewarm 5) Scream 2- The third act is a little underwhelming for me. The first two acts are so great but Mrs Loomis does not come across as a credible threat. Maybe if they did a third killer and had Rebecca Gayheart revealed as the third killer. She was great at playing a psycho killer in Urban Legend 6) Scream 4- The Jill reveal is the only redeeming thing in the third act (and maybe the scene where she intentionally harms herself). Everything else also feels underwhelming.

His scream 2 explanation is so odd considering Mrs Loomis is one of the best motives it’s literally revenge (nothing too extra or convoluted) and the fact that she was hiding in plain sight throughout the entire movie was genius also Scream 2 has better if not the same reviews as the original

Exactly. But his excuse is always "all the sequels are flawed". Which makes no sense. Sure every movie has flaws, but not every movie has the same flaws. Some movies have bigger and more flaws than others. Scream 2 did it perfectly and it made sense. In Scream 6 the reveal and everything made no sense 😄 its enjoyable,, but there is no logic.

Well if you think about it Scream 2 would have been so good if Mickey's accomplice was another dude that shared his vision (making Scream 2's theme about movies creating psychos) and then Scream 3 would have been absolutely glorious if Nancy was saved for this movie and have her team up with Roman (making Scream 3 about all out revenge).

I agree about Jill being an amazing reveal. The hospital scene and the opening really hurt this movie for me though. Jill getting away with it would’ve been epic.

I always wished the killers went like this 1996: keep it the same 1997: Killer 1- secretly killed 2 people in HS and came to college with a thirst for blood. Killer 2- a copycat serial killer who travels across the country copying famous serial killers who have yet to be caught or in jail which confuses the police 2000- Roman and Mrs loomis (disguised as his production assistant). She “kills” Roman but he comes back to life at the last minute to kill mrs loomis for double crossing him and saving Sidney at the last minute. They have a moment then pow pow, Roman’s dead 2011-Jill, Trevor, Charlie and Marnie cooper. Marnie still does in the opening scene and it is revealed that she had to be taken out because she was a liability.

I disagree with the Nancy Loomis sentiment. Every Scream movie motive is tied to family, someting people don't realize. If you removed Nancy the movie would be kind of the odd one out motive-wise.

The first is obviously my favorite, can’t get better than that. Then I’d go the fifth movie. It’s so much fun once again. Scream 4 had the most surprising reveals to me and the monologue is epic. 6 while the weakest part of the film is insanely entertaining nonetheless. 3 is really underrated in the mansion. Sidney gets to shine so much too. 2 just feels a bit anti-climactic. Needed more Timothy Olyphant.

3 has a ton of well documented issues, but I really enjoy Scott Foley's performance in the final act. Yeah, the story was absolute nonsense, but he _kind of_ sells me on it by the time he gets wrecked.

Absolutely! Foley is a killer actor. It’s more about the writing to me. If he wasn’t Sidney’s long lost brother I think I would absolutely be more into it.

My rankings: 6: Scream VI: goofier tone than Scream 3 in an otherwise more serious film. Plus the killers are completely telegraphed even down to their motive. 5: Scream 2022: Again telegraphed villain was too easy to predict which hurt the finale too much. 4: Scream 3: goofy finale but a goofy film up to that so fits. 3: Scream 2: I really like this. I quite like the Mrs Loomis twist and the Leiv red herring works brilliantly IMO. 2: Scream 4: most creative twist after the first. I actually quite like the hospital scene. Even though first time it felt silly, Ive enjoyed it more on rewatches. 1: Scream: obviously... The double killer twist was brilliant at the time. The way they hid Billy as the killer was great. Then Stu just stole the whole thing because well Stu 🤷‍♂️

Stu WAS amazing. I’ll be shocked if they somehow pull him back up. It’d feel cheap to try and negate scream 6’s evidence. My List (1 being the best) Sixth Place: scream 6 (loved it, but just had the cop and Ethan were too obvious) Fifth Place: Scream 3 Fourth place: Scream 5 (Amber was a BRUTAL ghostface) Third Place: scream 2 Second Place: scream 4 First: scream 1

Oh Jake, I love your continued enthusiasm and videos for scream. I honestly watch all of them. Love it, keep them coming. I just feel Jill was such a good reveal with the mask off in front of sidney and it being her 😮 We want that feeling again. Amber for me wasnt shocking at all, it didnt hit the same as jill. S4 did the family connection/reboot perfectly. Please in Scream 7, a decent killer reveal thats shocking!! Maybe just the 1 killer with loads of suspects and red herrings 👌

My list from best to least favorite Scream ( chefs kiss) Scream 2 (I loved mrs Loomis for some reason and also Mickeys motive) Scream 5 (Ambers reveal saved this ending) Scream 6 ( the first to have 3 ghost face reveal ) Scream 4 (Jill gave me bad anxiety it was never ending lol but the motive was very different) Scream 3 ( Roman was very whining but I loved the fight scene)
