I agree. I've always said despite the low budgets American International put behind their movies, the quality performers they hired made the movies very watchable. This movie is a prime example. The very beautiful Janee Mitchell's scene with Pam Grier at the funeral home remains extremely bone chilling terrifying. Richard Lawson in my opinion stole the entire movie with his hilarious portrayal of Big Willis Daniels. Still big budgets tend to make for for better films.

Despite there low budgets both the original Blacula and Scream Blacula were magnificent most notably because of the quality performances of the actors. Richard Lawson as Big Willis easily stole the show. Don Mitchell and of course Pam Grier were great touch also.

Not the worst but admittedly the script was rushed at the time due to the popularity of the original Blacula film which was a sleeper hit.

The producers could have spent more money but chose not too. So unfortunately there were gaps but the movie did well.
