Anybody else always just absolutely loved the atmosphere and the filming locations in this movie? Everything is just so beautiful

Bothers me that they went to Georgia and Michigan for the later Woodsboro scenes in 4 and 5. Napa Valley is beautiful and kind of perfect for that series. When I was a kid my babysitter's family owned Stu's house, and I got to hear a little about the filming. They definitely kicked her out after a hot minute because she wasn't supposed to be allowed there. But kind of cool having that little connection to what was my favorite movie for a while.

What I think made Scream so good was Wes Craven's location shots. Where they filmed in Northern California was a perfect location. It really looks like that in real life. Good job...

I personally thought that Skeet and Lillard were one of the best parts of the movie! That kitchen scene was priceless. Skeet and Lillard were absolutely bat shit crazy and portrayed their parts to perfection. I have watched that kitchen scene over 300 times....never gets old!

The mid-90's was the start of a brief "new era"...there was something about the "Scream Franchise"...It breathed new life into horror-cinema....I mean think about it...We had so many similar-style franchises after this from...96 to half-way through the 00's, these included: Scream/I Know What You Did/Urban Legend/Bloody Mary/The Butterfly Effect/Final Destination...to name but a few. They were definitely made for the "Buffy Generation"...2:21 The Memorial Square looked like it's lost its rendering at the bottom. 16:55 Absolutely perfect...even the kitchen lights are still there!:). 20:28 Lovin' the "Beyond Creepy" intro-tune there 👍

@@predminator8157 I actually like Predators also, and I’m pretty sure it was filmed in and around Austin. I didn’t care for The Predator very much lol. Yes, for Terminator, I actually have been to the Tech Noir location several times. They were doing a full gut and renovation, last time I was in town. As for the rest, it’s been a while, so it will be cool to revisit. And the original will be mind blowing!!

@@NickP ha, wow..I literally just sold my ZV-1, cause I didn’t like the motorized slow zoom. If you watch some of my videos, I use a zoom quite often and like to be able to zoom far in and out quickly. Your picture quality almost seems better than what I remember getting with mine. At the moment I’m back to using my iPhone 13 Pro Max which does the job for now. I really do love the Cinematic mode. Anyhow, jealous of this huge get inside the Macher house. I tried to reserve it through that Airbnb special they had Halloween weekend, but of course I was beat out. I gotta get out to Northern California soon. One day, we could perhaps collab and title the video, “Nick & Adam WERE Here” lol

Thanks a lot Leslie! It’s the Spring Hill Estate in Tomales, CA. Aside from filming, the property has become a popular location for Weddings and other Events. I just went onto the website and called the number. After speaking w someone I was given the contact email of the lady who coordinates visits w the homeowners. It costs a little bit of money. I had to push a little bit too, they are California people (a little laid back lol). The owners are very cool people. Time was of the essence as our trip approached and I was not getting a guaranteed time. So I had to email and call. I have the number somewhere. Let me know when you want to go. I’ll dig up the number and put you in touch with them.

I actually live like 10 minutes from casey beckers house in scream 1. Its on sonoma mountain rd. Im in the asphalt/concrete business and have done alot of work on that road but i can never get ahold of the owners to purpose paving the driveway they have a really old eerie looking gate and whenever i press the call button no one answers i’ve tried many many times and will continue whenever i work on that road in the future lol Im gonna do that job!! I found the contact info on the site and was able to get in touch with the right person. I had to send a few emails but the lady is great. She had to wait on the owners to get back in touch with me. The owners were also great. I think there’s still a promotion going on for the upcoming movie. We didn’t have that option. It costs money to get the tour otherwise.
