Something I really like about Sam is that unlike most final girls, she isn’t a “good” or “innocent” one. She’s brutal and aggressive. She def has capability of being a killer/evil but she uses her killer instincts for good and to protect herself and others

i disagree. Just because shes aggressive about her self defense doesn't make her less innocent than Sid. I don't buy the whole stabbing 37 times = bad. In the scream universe, I think the writers is oging in that direction and you're right in a sense. But to me, its her equivalent of shooting them in the head. I see it as her just making sure these freaks are dead.

@@vlalelrlila Her work in everything else in the last 6 years or so has been great. I think in Scream 5 the bigger problem was the writing, 1. And 2, everyone was still comparing her to the original cast. We saw a big glimpse of THIS Sam in the climax & even the hospital scenes. But going after Richie at the end was what solidified her for me as the new lead. Scream 5 was an excellent passing of the torch to the new cast, Scream 6 was world building for them. Even though we know Neve refused to return because of pay, I’m honestly glad she wasn’t in it and that they gave her an offscreen happy ending. It both makes sense (because why would she come to NY), and Sam/Tara’s story is a great way for them to keep it fresh.

So many people call Samantha boring or emotionless but in both SCREAM and SCREAMVI, Melissa shows such unbridled energy when stabbing. In SCREAM she nailed Billy’s wild posture and Stu’s knife wipe. In this one she comes full circle, imitating both him AND Sid, killing in costume.

Wild POSTURE, not frenzied knife stab. When Billy cornered Sid on the floor, him and Samantha both had same postures. Just as Billy choked Sid, Samantha slit Richie's throat. Both went for the neck. Both raised the knife the same way.

It's confusing considering why Quinn wears a fresh mask if the point was to wear the older looking GhostFace mask. I understand she needed camouflage in this scene, but still, that scene where Mindy gets stabbed by GhostFace on the subway train seemed kind of weird. I mean, don't get me wrong, I know it was Quinn Bailey, but still hello New York for Christ's sake there are millions of people that live in New York that could've possibly done this to Mindy. I think Spyglass should just hold off on Scream 7 for a few years (3-5 years) until everything is resolved. They rehire Melissa, Jenna is available, Neve returns with a sizable role and check, and we get a nice conclusion for this storyline.

I love this scene not because of the gnarly death scene of a killer, but the fact Sam uses the killer blood within her to do what she can to protect the ones she love. Just because her father was a killer, doesnt mean she's gonna follow in his footsteps and become a killer herself. As she said it herself, she's better than that. However just incase you need to, use that killer blood for good, to protect yourself and your loved ones from the true psychos. We all have a dark side we need to face head on in order to move on.

She was a perfect fit for being a Ghostface and she was able to snap out of it with her sister's help. I do however think she should have kept the costume and knife. He was the one wearing the very old mask...Quinn had the other old mask...Bailey was the attacker in the bodega, Quinn attacked Gale (still not sure how she easily threw Gale's muscular boyfriend through that glass so easily though)...not sure who Ethan killed though...Every kill and attack seemed to come from Bailey or Quinn...the only one I can think of is the ladder scene, but it was mentioned that his alibi checked out and that he was in a class.

@@MadSkillz76 You’re mistaken I’m talking about the apartment scene where Quinn was seemingly killed by Ghostface while talking to her dad detective Bailey on the phone when in reality she wasn’t actually killed, that Ghostface was Ethan, it was confirmed to be him the alibi was fake, Ethan lied to Chad the next day by telling him that he was at E Con but in reality he was the Ghostface that attacked them the previous night in the apartment, he killed Anika and Quinn's hookup. Apparently it was also confirmed that Jack Champion the actor who played Ethan in the movie was also under the costume in the apartment scene.

This was hands down of the best kills of the franchise top 10. This movie actually delivered on the gore with 3 standout kills that I know got reactions out of ppl Greg (decapitated body), Anika (Gutted then bashed in face) and Bailey (30 stabs and then stab to the eye) I would’ve put Gale’s bf cause in a bts pic his throat was cut open but you don’t see that in the movie cause of the way the body is positioned. Like it was fine enough with the stabs like nothing new for this franchise but the moment anyone in a horror movie gets stabbed in the eye it’s an S tier kill for me so brutal and gory. Sam is not typical final girl or scream queen in franchise like this. She is the star with killer attitude. At 2:38 eventhough she didn't show her smirk explicitly but we, as viewer, knew her expression was the smirk she inherited from Mrs. Loomis (her grandmother, Billy's mom). Added with Tara's expression towards her which talked "Really? After all that happened you're gonna set him free?" which showed their sisterly bond which IMO was so cute and sweet gestures before Sam proceed to kill Richie's Dad. This Ghostface is the one kind that we are so lucky to have her on our side. At least she used her controlled insanity to do the sane thing: to protect her family. I ❤ the addition of new blood into this franchise and if Scream 7 is made I hope that requel can close the franchise before people are boring and running out of gas (just did it like John Wick 4 so people will remember this franchise with great memories) like we feel right now with MCU and DCEU.

I just gotta give props to Melissa for her job in Scream 6. In Scream 5 I wasn’t into her acting. Some things she said came off as cheesy or whenever she learned Tara was attacked at the beginning her reaction didn’t seem believable. It was clear that Jenna Ortega was the better actress in that movie. But WOW she absolutely killed it in Scream 6 from opening tip. Hands down not only the best acting performance but the best character for me
