Yeah…he’s coming back for 7, last one started with a call admonishing the victim for not knowing Stu was one of the original killers. The uh..leaks for this one certainly create some Stu centric ideas…they’re literally feeding us stu breadcrumbs. Bruh so many stu hints in the movies even at the police station they cops had a green question mark next to his name which a green check mark is the mark of the riddler and then insinuating that hes not confirmed dead or alive or at a specific location

Oh my god, the question mark does throw a wrench in the argument that “if he was alive someone would know”... clearly they don’t know for sure! Like man, imagine how his body disappeared while they thought they’d secured it somewhere else away from his house, but he escaped. Imagine his sister showed up, took the body and nursed him back to health secretly. Imagine his family blackmailed the Woodsboro PD with something really damning about all of them and they buried the fact that they don’t know where Stu’s body was. Just imagine he decided to take on Billy’s praying mantis trait and plot in the dark for 25+ years, or just try to rebuild a life until he sees Sam on the news (when she was filmed on the street pushing at the kids harassing her) and hears that she’s Billy’s daughter (because of Quinn’s rumors in 6)... which triggers him into doing something/breaking out/escaping from where he is and to NYC and being the chameleon he was in 1 among normal folks, just making up a new personality and backstory as a soldier veteran (which would explained his scarred up face) or something like that for the big finale. Because he’s a beautiful insane beast. 🔪🔪🔪☠️ I need to see Matthew Lillard really play that pure, unfiltered insanity again, man.

Since they are doing the requel/sequel the 6th was a copy of scream 2 with the reveal...so hopefully they will stick with the original plot for 3 in the 7th that they ended up scrapping with stus return. Like 5 and 6 was expecting him and was let down.. make it right and have stu return and actually change the monolog at the end and leave a cliffhanger with stu being revealed and killing a legacy character with stu escaping. Then leave the 8th film with something different with them knowing stus alive and running a cult the whole time being the mastermind behind each ghost face.

I think the best ending for the series would be for Scream 7 to be the ending. Stu would come back and together with Billy's daughter they would be the killers. Billy's daughter would succumb to what society expects her to be (a character issue she has been grappling with the last two movies) and almost like Halloween Ends there would be a message of: Evil doesn't end, it simply changes shape.

With the small reference in Scream 5 questioning whether Stu actually died or not and then the direct callback to Stu’s “death” in Scream 6, I definitely feel like they’re setting up the possibility for Stu to come back. Idk how they’d explain Stu being able to stay hidden for all of these years and fake his death to convince the authorities, but I’d still love to see how they manage to pull it off 👀

I agree. Or they could go a new route and let us also see more from the killer's perspective after his reveal. Or, if you go by the cult angle, have them betray him in the end and make him an anti-hero in Scream 8. Or what would also be cool, not knowing if Stu was still GF or if he doesn't do the killings. Would be a nice twist. Having the protagonists and audience question if Stu is killing again or if he is innocent. And if they ever go the route that Halloween went with it being a direct sequel to one, then it would be awesome as well. Imagine Stu coming out of prison and then GF's return after 30+ years of peace. Everyone thinking it's Stu and us not knowing if Stu's innocent and just "framed" for the newest killings or if he is really killing again. The advantage of going that way would be that we could have Randy and Dewey back since they both would still be alive and well.
