I think if that’s the case, the ending has more questions. Unless at the end the old man ended up being able to pass and the younger dude woke up and visited the professor years later after he realized where tf his bag had gone 🤘🏻😬🤟

This is the absolute best film I have ever seen on this channel. It felt like I was being led into something like pan’s labyrinth, my only complaint is that it didn’t show the other side. Of course, I understand why they couldn’t, but if this is ever made into a full, feature length film, I really hope they address it.

As I understand the end, the other professor was indeed curious enough & had followed him to the house where he took the findings & then wrote his best seller. The guy crawled into the mirror, got saved, came back, holding the cane, perhaps, or could be the woman, if looking from his perspective, the person looks quite short & we never get a clear view of figure...

So, I didn't get the ending and I'm trying to figure out. Some said the professor took the findings and wrote a new book. But the mysterious cane person, who at the store, who? I watched the ending again closely and if you focus on Adolfo, his eyes open. So my theory is that: Adolfo survived and is there to get a share of the cash since he knows the prof nicked the findings OR creepier version: Adolfo and the prof are in cahoots and have been doing this to lots of foolish Enriques.

I totally agree I do not think it was Adolfo because looks like he had a heart attack after he attacked Enrique. He was injured but they were not life threatening as Leonardo probably assumed. We seen the mirror change when his head was near it.. I think that enabled Enrique to crawl through the mirror. Maybe the other side healed him. WE NEED MORE!! This was SO good!! Excellent! All the actors did an amazing job!

possible explanation of ending - spoilers: I needed other people’s comments to figure this out: The professor set up Enrique and took the backpack/notes/recorder to write his book and achieve fame and money. He knew where the mirror was all the time (he had a piece in his desk). The professor took the backpack but left the cane. Enrique survived and is back to confront and possibly kill the professor (that’s him at the signing with the handle of the cane showing). I dont know if he made it through to the other side - I don’t think he did.

i think (and i rode other comments which coincide) that it's exactly as you said only difference is that i think he indeed cross to the other side. Why wouldn't he? If he has the strenght to recover and go visit the professor at the signing, why wouldn't he do what desires the most? In fact i think that crossing made him better (maybe just healing, or maybe upgrading someway) (and he has time while the professor writes and publish the book) But that's part of the mistery of the history, to wonder what's on the other side Sorry for the 3 year old risposte, i hope you slept well :)

Now that is a short film or a short story. Most short films are of a segment of a larger story or of a chase scene or scary scene. But to put a more solid story into such a short space is creative. Well filmed and good story telling. Enjoyed.

At 17:59 it looks like a kid is holding the cane based on arm length and how they are actually holding it. I'm not sure how that theory would work if time perhaps moved slower on the other side? Maybe Sara was pregnant as she crossed and returned years later only aging an 1/8th of time? This has definitely been one of my favorite shorts so far on this channel! I would love to see a prequel/sequel that shows the other side up to this point and what happens next. Thank you!

My vote is that Sara has come to visit the professor. She's a little old woman at this point. Sara is also a writer, and would have easily critiqued the professor's work, considering he is speculating about the things she's experienced. Plus, Adolfo seemed like a delusional and bitter old man. I can't see how Sara was calling out to him, being regretful for her decision.

This is more magical than horror but none the less for it. The subtitles come nice and slow for slow readers like myself so no tapping the pause button every other second which is great. Milo the Cat someone believed/knew there was a portal to a world where all fantasy creatures existed - unicorns, faeries, centaurs, etc - so they went searching for it and seemingly found it but disappeared from our world completely in doing so. As the tale was told through years, many people believed and did not believe. One man, who studied the woman’s story in college, decided he was going to set out to find the truth. Adolfo was desperate to meet Sara and finally he found that key in Enrique after so many years of waiting. He got infuriated when Enrique told that now nothing can be done. Enrique was injured from the attack and again when he extended his hand, he could measure that dimension and open the gateway to the other side. Prof. Leonardo was largely interested in writing a novel and earning fame but Enrique wanted to go deep, to fathom the mystery. That was very clear between their dialogue. At the end Enrique returns with the lethal stick after helping Adolfo to cross over. If there would have been a sequel as to what would be Enrique's move towards Leonardo it could have been appreciated.
