About The Director:
Grete Suarez has chased rogue traders, globetrotted five continents, and uneasily shaken hands with shady politicians. A journalist and filmmaker from downunder, her directorial debut THE REPEATER premiered at Screamfest LA and was selected in 30+ international film festivals including Oscar-qualifying Krakow Film Festival and Winner of Best Narrative Short at Screener Short Film Festival in London. She’s also co-writer of feature KEPLER SEXTO B starring Spanish actor Karra Elejalde that premiered at the Málaga Film Festival (Spain) and released in Spanish theaters June 2023.
Grete's screenplays have also earned accolades with Stowe Story Labs, Final Draft Big Break as well as Screencraft TV Pilot Launch.
Asian by heritage, Grete grew up as an outsider from a dysfunctional family and has confronted adverse situations due to her ethnicity, an experience which blends into her writing. Her stories seek to pack a punch and provoke.

This is a very moving film. I watched it twice and will probably watch it again. There’s a lot to think about. For instance, if Uli hadn’t been so arrogant and had stopped to speak to the stranger, would the course of his life have been different? Brava!

Not gonna lie, the great acting is the only reason I kept watching, as soon as the old man showed up, I instantly knew the plot of the short, beyond some bits and pieces here and there. Still fantastic, my advice would just be maybe make it a bit more subtle next time - beyond that though, it's lovely :D

His arrogance and the slightest regard for his wife really hit home. Unbelievable that was his older self he passed by. The matching clothes were a giveaway, but i didn't see it until the end. Amazing. I did guess that the old guy was himself in a later timeline, but despite knowing the acting and script was astonishing. I like how “open” the movie is, since we are not 100% percent sure if he is in a coma himself, or that he is actually in a time loop. Now the crazy question is, what if his old self kills his younger self?😂 The famous time-paradox.
