*Spoilers* It was upsetting when the stronger older brother got killed. I mean, what was the younger one thinking. Like that house wouldn't be a beacon to everyone within a 100 mile radius. The older one lost his life trying to indulge in his little brother's need for comfort. But in the end, the younger brother had to grow up real fast and lose the little bit of optimism he had left. I really liked this.

Great short film. I often wonder... does mankind even deserve to survive if we lose our sense of humanity and community after a catastrophic event? Frankly, I wouldn't want to live in a world where people lost all sense of camaraderie and compassion and devolved into the worst kind of tribalism. But I personally don't believe that's actually possible. Mankind has survived not just because of our raw intelligence, but more significantly, because of our ability to collaborate with one another to solve problems, at least, that's what I have to believe. Stay safe out there, everybody. One love.
@amandafrazier97245 жыл бұрын
The real horror is when the kid gave in to paranoia and became as bad as the rest of them. Social animals don't survive forever in isolation. How long until the marauders turn on each other? How long until the one that's left runs out of bullets? Until the kid who followed big brother's hardass example gets pneumonia or breaks an ankle in the middle of the winter woods? This approach to "survival" is gonna keep them alive in the short term, but long term? They're toast. It'll be the ones who grouped together and cooperated who actually survive.

When people are randomly killed for their stuff, you can count on two things; bad things have already happened, and, very likely, worse is to come. Had an old friend who for years had been a "survivalist" .This came to a rapid conclusion when I pointed out(in clear, no uncertain terms) that there would be nothing left to live for.Sometimes you do have to just "survive", but the goal should be to live well.The difference between following your "bliss", and going by animal instinct.There are plenty better animals than us already here. Not too much blood, no zombies or any type of monster except the human ones, and not too much talking. If there was a small exert in the beginning to let people know just a little bit more about what the movie was about besides the horrific nature of us human beings, but to let us know how they all got to or into the situations that were at hand. But all in all, it was and is a pretty good short-movie. I liked it..!! 2 👍👍 for little gem..!! This reminded me of a book I’ve read called “The Raven’s Gift.” I was still sort of expecting what went down to happen, but this was still a really well made film. Left me wanting to know more about the world they’re surviving in.

Spoiler Alert! The older Brother dying like that was so freaking sad! What awesome actors, everything on point and executed nicely...what a scary thought of living in fear and always afraid of being killed every second of the day & night! Freaked me out a bit...
