Rivers are the worse place to fish for eels , you will catch them all night long but they will be mostly small , bootlaces. I prefer to fish lakes or Pits for the Bigger eels , try and find somewhere that is Old and has not been drained , most Carp lakes have been drained at some point , pisses me off that does. Also some of the best places for eels don't let you night fish. Estate lakes can be Fantastic for Big EELS
