I think that the work done by electronic intifada, grayzone and Mondoweiss is crucial as they basically exposed it real time.

Not sure exactly who got the story first, but Gupta does have a down-to-earth style as opposed to Max's somewhat pompous mode of presentation.

Gupta has a reputation for piggybacking on the work of others. Moreover, Max doesn't deserve the cheap shot. He and Ali did the work.

ًWell done another great informative dialogue by Mouin Rabbani, Aron Gupta with a very detailed analysis of the case. When I heard the ICC ruling I wondered where they got the information from about sexual violence since they could not go and investigate on the ground. I also thought why are they talking about Hamas since no one brought a case against them at the ICC.

I have yet to hear anyone mention the videos that came out, early after the 7th, of Qassam fighters reassuring their prisoners that they would be treated well "because we are Muslim". I saw two of them. In each, women were reassured they and their children would not be harmed. Then, they disappeared.

One of the most atrocious instances of fake stories was the Screams without words NYT story. The featured victim was actually not raped according to her family who had been in touch via text through the attack. The timeline was impossible. Imagine the family didn't have that concrete proof? They would believe that this horrifiying rape occured in their loved one's last moments. That's a terrible burden. It was gross to put them in that position. Thank god they had proof otherwise

Brilliant work, thank you 🙏 I remember reading that all the burnt cars from the nova rave - clearly burnt by missiles from Israeli helicopters - were to be chopped into tiny pieces and buried, clearly to prevent investigation. Did they indeed get covered up in this way does anyone know?

This has all long ago been investigated meticulously and debunked by the Electronic Intifada and the Grayzone. I don't understand why it is spoken about as if it is something new Mr. Gupta came up with. He is just repeating what they had found.

Yes, it’s been debunked since awhile ago; I don’t get the impression at all that they’re presenting it as if it’s new. They say, lsraeI still to this day is claiming mass rapes; that phrasing implies it’s already been debunked. But that’s precisely the reason they’re talking about it, because even though it’s been debunked and re-debunked and re-debunked, lsraeI and its defenders are STILL claiming the mass rapes. They just did so at the ICJ last week. And U.S. spokespeople also keep saying it. I think, as long as they’re going to keep making the false claims, we all have to also keep debunking them. We have to consider that not everyone has already seen or heard or read everything we have, and so they don’t know as much as we do about the topic.

The attack started at 6:30 in the morning, so all of this happened in broad daylight. For months, I thought it happened at night. How did they have time to do all that they have been accused of, and where is all the cellphone footage from the concert-goers? There had to be hundreds of phones there. And what about the Israeli response time and the Hannibal Directive?

I believe that phrase was written by Max Blumenthal as the title of his open letter to the New York Times, questioning the claims and inconsistencies in their article.

Re the collection of human remains - my understanding is that touching a corpse or coming into physical contact with a dead individual contaminates the individual- makes them impure? How about conducting autopsies or investigations of pathology on human tissue samples - is that prohibited in Israel? Wouldn’t make sense and would be far fetched - but can anyone comment?

13:35 stop! She made it up unless the girl established a romantic relation with the Hamas guard and it was mutual. There is no way that the Hamas fighter prompted anything with her period nothing that qualifies non consent and/or aggression.
