I remember downloading this off Limewire around 2004/2005 and listening to it on my iPod shuffle on the bus. Good times.

I love this version of the song. Looking at the song through a punk rock lens gives it a unique energy when you listen to it. Where the original is sad mourning someone not being there anymore, this version to me captures more of the frustration that could be experienced. 👍

Ben has something with the word “sunshine”, lol. There’s this cover, the cover of “i can see clearly” (“it’s gonna be a bright sunshiney day”), and the song “sunshine”, which incorporates the old Flinstones song “open up your heart (and let the sun shine in)”.

You are my sunshine, my only sunshine You make me happy when skies are grey You never know, dear, how much I love you Please don't take my sunshine away The other night, dear, as I lay sleeping I dreamt I held you in my arms When I awoke, dear, I was mistaken So I hung my head, and I cried You are my sunshine, my only sunshine You make me happy when skies are grey You never know, dear, how much I love you Please don't take my sunshine away I'll always love you and make you happy If you will only say the same But if you leave me to love another You'll regret it all one day You are my sunshine, my only sunshine You make me happy when skies are grey You never know, dear, how much I love you Please don't take my sunshine away Please don't take my sunshine away

@@dingdong1822 I was heartbroken over a gal, who THIS version of this song makes me think of, for years. I broke up with her about ten years ago and the only thing that kept me alive was the possibility that we could get back together. It took 6 years for me get above that point. But I'd still get back with her without a moment's hesitation if she'd let me.
@dingdong18224 жыл бұрын
@@chAIboiBoogie at least you were the one with the feet. Why did you break it off? Another question, 6 years? That scared the shit out of me, it never took me more than a year to forget a bitch, but this one is a pain, literally. Are you saying what i think it is your saying? Should i blast misfist in my car and run over her girlfriend?
@chAIboiBoogie4 жыл бұрын
@@dingdong1822 lmao that's NOT what I said. I was content knowing that she was happy with someone else, as long as she was happy. I'd live my life and not wait for her. Being single is a blessing too, so few people figure this out.
