I bought my machines from this guy when I started out just months ago. I strongly encourage anyone looking to purchase screen printing equipment to do so from Jonathan. Customer service is a real screen printer giving you real tips and real help when you get stuck. When someone takes the time to help ppl starting out like me and sells great equipment at great prices I just have to appreciate that and return the love. I know I couldn't call other companies for help like I have with Jonathan. Really, really helpful and he won't try to sell you what you don't need. Trust me, I've spent over 20k with this guy don't regret a penny

I'll check to see that it is up to date and you can see it on my playlists page. I also have videos about how to create vector art using AI so check out my over 400 screen printing videos. hi was just wondering how screen printed tees handle going in the washing machine, does the ink still stay printed on the tee and in good condition
@CatspitProductions6 жыл бұрын
If you wash them inside out, plastisol inks will last for several years. I have a video about this with shirts I printed over 10 or 20 years ago. Thanks for watching! Screen Printing Equipment & Supplies - CatspitScreenPrintSupply.com/

is CMYK screen printing a great substitue for DTG printer.. wanted to do alot of colorful designs on black. how many screens do you need for CMYK?
@CatspitProductions9 жыл бұрын
+HUGEL Not at all since DTG can do 1 or 12 pieces with as many colors as you want. With screen printing there is a lot of pre-press work and set up. Screen printing is best suited for higher volume printing jobs. Also CMYK uses 4 screens normally but often we add spot colors where the CMYK cannot create a bright enough color. i bought screen printing kit and i got only 3 yellow/green/red color, and i dont have one of those that people mix with water and let it dry and then wash it etc........ do i have to buy one of those too ? what is it called ? tnx
@CatspitProductions7 жыл бұрын
I'm not sure what you mean. Perhaps your referring to emulsion? If you are talking about vellum then I would suggest using inkjet film. It's much better and easier to work with. Thanks for watching! Screen Printing Equipment & Supplies - CatspitScreenPrintSupply.com/

hey just getting into printing at home and don't have a way to clamp down the screen yet how can i flood it and keep it lined up i see that u lift it to food it

ps it there a good all round thread count ? i just order my 1st screen at 90
@CatspitProductions8 жыл бұрын
+fpv unbox That one you may have to figure out yourself. It depends on how you want to work. If you're working with a lose screen then you would have to flood it then place it on the garment or something. I'm not sure. I have never had to do that in that way. 90 mesh? Is that US or a 90T? Hi Catspit, I realy appriciate your videos in the way how you learn people screen print, and of course, I subscribed :) But about my issue, when I put the color on (water based GRAFCO) and slide the squeegee the color stays in the screen, even if I stroke and even for the first slide to the clean screen, impossible to cut the color from the screen, look like the screen is glued to the t-shirt. I tried to setup off contact (lower or higher) and it´s still hapenning, I´m using one color station, spray glue (t-shirt is glued fine to the platten). When I tried to use plastisol ink this wasn´t hapenning - do you have any idea? Thank a lot!
@CatspitProductions9 жыл бұрын
+Filip Ludvík Thank you, glad you enjoy my video work. Thanks for subscribing! Sounds like the ink instantly dried in the screen or perhaps reacted with the emulsion and clogged up. You need to use emulsion that is resistant to water based inks. I sell emulsions that will be resistant to both water based and plastisol inks. You also need to make sure the emulsion is fully cured. Thanks for watching. Screen Printing Equipment & Supplies - catspitscreenprintsupply.com/
@CatspitProductions9 жыл бұрын
+Filip Ludvík That was a wrinkle in the jacket fabric, NOT a clog. I really have no clue what is actually happening to you since I am not there to see it. I guessing blind here at best. The best thing to do is call GRAFCO and get technical assistance for their products.

+CatspitProductions i was wondering wheather a person needs a wholesalers licence or business license if your starting a clothing brand, do you know of any whole sales websites or venders you could give me. also, do you offer pre burned or exposed screens if a person sends you a vectorized image, i know of a couple other companies that do it and it seems lucrative. thank you for responding to my last questions and thank you for the helpful vidoes you realy help the community.
@CatspitProductions8 жыл бұрын
+Jonathan Reyes I do not offer screen burning services. I'm only one person most of the time so it's not practical for me yet. You may not NEED a business license but if you intend on creating a brand you should have at least a city and state tax number. Some places will not do business with you unless you have one. I do not have any referrals for wholesale shirts, unfortunately. Thanks for watching my videos. I’m glad I can help out through them. My pleasure to help out where I can. A suggestion from one printer to another, use excess film to cover secondary prints on screens. Ink won't seep through it so you only have to tape up the ink side! Just make you place the printable side of the film face down or else it will gunk up the ink.
@CatspitProductions9 жыл бұрын
+ModestBouse Oh yeah great idea! I don't often have trimmings or waste big enough to do so but waste film positive material would probably work great. Right, so use the back side to touch the mesh so the inkjet film emulsion does not clog things up.... Interesting indeed. Thanks for watching. +ModestBouse I just learned this little trick this past year. It's a great way to reuse something that was going to be put in the trash. Plus I found that the paper and tape tend to pull water and oils out of ink if the ink is left in the screens overnight.
@CatspitProductions9 жыл бұрын
+jerripaw That is true especially if the paper is not glossy. It will absorb the plastisizer if you leave it up too long. Thanks for sharing with us all :)

Hey man I have an issue with my print. I have small detail lettering and it's not extremely small but it's not printing well thru the screen. I've tried pressing Hard or adding more ink but I've noticed it just bleeds the design and doesn't really help. What should I do?
@CatspitProductions8 жыл бұрын
I think you asked this somewhere else? But as I said try a higher mesh count and or a harder squeegee. Also try less pressure on the flood and stroke. Thanks for watching. Screen Printing Equipment & Supplies - catspitscreenprintsupply.com/

hey there, thanks again for a new video - loving them - (i should spend more time printing and not watching your videos darn!) you never print with waterbased ink. is it because you love the handling of plastisol or is it how the "oldschool" printing was? you know what i mean? in the past i think all serious businesses printed plastisol. please correct me if i am mistaken. greetings
@CatspitProductions9 жыл бұрын
+Mister Onemoveahead LOL... that is true. At some point you need to get your feet wet. Plastisol ink revolutionized the screen printing industry and we would not be where we are today without it. For years and years plastisol was the standard. It's only pretty recently water based inks are making a come back. I teach a lot in my shop so plastisol is best to teach with. I will do water based ink videos as soon as I source an ink I want to sell. So that is why I am not doing it right now. I have to be able to sell it otherwise people will be asking me where to get it. I'm working on it but I'm still only one person most of the time. I'll get there.... eventually.... LOL. I do not have a Instagram, I refuse to sell my soul to Facebook; the Devil gave me a better deal for it. Anyways, that's a lot of tape! At my place of work, use more tape than your arm length and you are using too much tape! Just kidding, but almost.

+cerberusgear LOL.... I hear you. I don't like Facebook but I use IG for business purposes. You made me laugh about the tape. @CatspitProductions9 жыл бұрын
+cerberusgear I'm not sure what I am doing with that yet. I'm just giving a few away. I don't think there will be a contest but I am trying to encourage people to follow me on IG. Just wait until you see the printing video for these shirts and contact me. But it will be a limited giveaway ;)
