Thermal resolution is pretty good. The 25hz frame rate is nice. The UI is laggy, but its decent for the price.

Great video, well explained and straight to the point. More importantly, you are a real user with a real purpose in mind, not a kid shooting his cat. You have had it for 8 months, so how does it compare now to this original review?? Firmware? Lastly, I wanted to check termites in my property among other things. Any thoughts? ThankS!

Hi, Edgard. I’m very happy with it, and I STILL highly recommend it. Supposedly, it’s good to find termites as well, but I’ve never found any using it. Maybe it has to be a large enough swarm to catch it. So, I like it so much, I bought a backup one. Lol.

@@Calvinwiresner you’re most welcome. Correct, I need a backup of all my tools just in case one stops working, I drop it, loose it, or for whatever other reason. Firmware has been spectacular. No need for any updates or anything. It’s worked great. I’ve used it on at leas 400 inspections since I got it.

Great video, I just ordered this imager. Is the battery in this unit replaceable, in case of failure ?

Yes. Very good camera. As far as I know, you cannot replace the battery. You can send it in to the manufacturer, and it’ll have the battery replaced, if necessary.

Is this better then there B1? I almost bought the B1 for $399 but saw there new one this pocket 2 for $599 and can't decide. I want to use it for water leaks inside walls/ceiling.

In my opinion, yes, it is WAY better than the B1. I had the B10 or B20-I don’t remember which. The Pocket 2 is better because it has better resolution, the image is clearer, the screen is brighter and larger, and it records video.

How do you export the images to a laptop?

You can export images to a lap- or desktop via a USB-C cable. It’s super easy.

I can not recommend the HIKMICRO Pocket 2 since it permanently randomly freezes and does not work reliable at all! Firmware is up to date. What a waste of money!
