Hey Yellow Iron, I designed and modeled the 3d printed trommel in your video and hate to see you having trouble with it and do not want you regretting the build. I have somewhat fixed the issue with build up into Trommel. I modeled a “seal” for under the conveyor so material does not fall back under or inside conveyor belt. I have also remodeled the drum mount and am now using ball bearings instead of just plastic to plastic. I would love to print these parts for you and send them your way or I could send you the files with some instructions on how to complete

3d printed trommel will melt in the summer. just use it in cold weather. I know the feeling when everything breaks when you just want to have fun, especially on a nice day. Always good to see you guys out there having a good time.

Need to setup that other trommel at a bit of an angle to help feed materials through.

5:20 Do you need to have “Wild Man” Bill teach you how to drive ?

Do you think the trommel works better feeding it with conveyor Darrell? We have had trouble with auger jamming what a pain someone has to watch it all the time
@yellowironcowboyrccon7484Ай бұрын
Well feeding it with the conveyor is more consistent or even. Versus dumping a big scoop in all at once. We get that just right rock that gets between the auger blade and the throat. And yeah someone needs to baby sit that thing constantly.

Hi Daryl love to see that trommel working, what do you with the material you put through it?
@yellowironcowboyrccon7484Ай бұрын
We use the fine stuff for roads and jims wife likes it in the flower beds. The medium material we use the edges of roads and all kinds of stuff. The larger rocks are used to prevent erosion on side of mountain roads ect.
I was waiting to see the D11 at work I'm disappointed

I am interested to exchange email with someone who is posted this video. I’m thinking of buying one of the units from Toucan RC and wanted to talk someone who has this unit and is using it. Please reply with an email so that I can contact you. Thank you.
