Could you attach some sort of mesh across the bucket for the smaller rocks, maybe?

Probably so I think I’m going to look into something like that

That was a lot of work to get the rocks out. It did pay off because it looks really good. That customer is going to to have a great yard when you’re done. Thanks for sharing the video with us. Great job Brandon.

Thank you! It’s definitely shaping up. It’s just crazy how all the rocks on the property are right in that area 🤣

Looking good Brandon you need a small trommell screen for some stuff like that.

Great job. I gotta say this and please don’t take it the wrong way. After watching you and let’s dig all the time it makes me jealous. I went the utility construction route and started doing gas work all the schooling stressful work gets old. I’d love to go dig out a pond for a while and go thru rocks thatd be therapy compared to being in the city digging on a million utilities everyday. Sometimes I wonder why I went that route in life lol.
@eliteearthworksllc2 ай бұрын
@@snowblowerman5115 thanks! Oh yeah that is definitely stressful and tense work there. I enjoy a little utility work ever now and then but I want long stretches of pond or dirt work in between 🤣

Good job Brandon. You could put some expanded metal in the bucket to catch the smaller rocks 🪨 Take care and have a blessed and safe day and I'll see you on your next video

Ooh, that made my teeth hurt watching you bounce across that rocky ground in the loader. My friend has a skeleton bucket for his loader, and he has a piece of screen in his bucket with about a 1 inch grid. It works pretty well. Check with USA Attachments in King, NC and see what a bucket for your excavator would cost. I bought a frost ripper and a utilities bucket from them and have been very happy with them. They build good quality stuff. Cool dump truck, thanks for sharing.
@eliteearthworksllc2 ай бұрын
That’s a good idea. Oh cool thank you I will check them out. I feel like one on the excavator with really speed things up. I do really like that truck 😁

That was very enjoyable to watch. Looks like you imported some rocks from here in Pennsylvania, LOL. Aside from those couple chips in the TCR50 paint, personally I think the skeleton bucket worked very well. In fact, you probably picked the best time to use it when it was so dry (even if it was dusty). Yes, your idea of dumping rocks in a pile next to the big piles would have been a more efficient method of disposing of them, but still, I think it worked well even if it was a little slow. The TCR50 bed being lower made dumping easier although I know you didn't like the rocks falling back against the skidsteer - that was a concern. Some of those "rocks" were boulders! Looking forward to seeing how the screener does.

Yeah it worked better than I thought it was going too and I think your right with how dry it is helped it work better too. I’m waiting to hear back from another company on renting a screener. The first company wanted $15k and they only rent it for a month at a time. I figure I need 3-5 days to screen all that so not sure what I would do with it the other 3 weeks 🤣

Would the Rucus Rake have helped or was it just too many rocks???

It may help but I also think it would just keep pulling rocks up in the dry dirt

That looked like herding cats trying to separate those rocks from that dirt. I would not have believed it if I wouldn't have seen it how many rocks are in that soil. It's like shattered sandstone or something. Probably something like a big trommel is about the only thing that would really get those rocks out. You're right to watch out for your skid steer taking a beating. Chipped chrome cylinders and cracked paint and glass are not worth it. Definitely interesting though.
@eliteearthworksllc2 ай бұрын
Yeah it’s crazy it’s like every rock on the property is in that one spot 🤣 I agree on the trommel I’m trying to find a company who rents smaller ones but no luck so far. Yeah I definitely worry about chipping the cylinders
